Wow, Four of a Kind and Aces at that…never thought I’d be around to see that; probably never going to beat that hand! Time for a chip count!

Calvin, just curious. Do you remember when you were a little kid, maybe 5, and you were out on Browns Lake, and some guys had you throwin perch at a guy ? You would run over to his house and throw em at the house and would say ” feed this to your cats !!! ”

Calvin, myself and my brother Dman (big d) and hooks brother danny, were out ice fishing on browns. either danny brought you out or mike may did, and you were hanging with us. we were about 14 or 15 years old, so that made you about 5 years old. anyways, this guy was fishing a little over from us, and we were throwing liitle perch on the ice, as they keep ticking us off. he wanders over and asks if he can have the perch to feed to his cats. now us guys knowing this guy, figure hes actually gonna eat them himself. we said sure, and he scooped them up. we proceeded to catch a few more crappies, along with the little perch. when we had a couple, we came up with the idea to send you over there with them, to give to him. you didn’t quite have the balls to do it, so you would run over about 10 feet from his house, and chuck em at the door and holler “FEED THIS TO YOUR CATS !!!” then you would ramble back over as fast as you could. picture this, a little kid, bundled up real tight, with a little blue knit cap, with 3 little balls hangin from the top center of the cap !!! we would laugh our off, and then after a bit, you would get up the nerve again. towards the end of the scene, we had you actually opening the door of his house and chucking em at him !!! I will never forget that as long as i live !!! in fact, me and big d were on Browns about a month ago, and the little perch were hitting. i threw one down the hole and said “feed this to your cats” and had a good chuckle. last weekend on friday night at hooks, josh was talking about how this guy calvin, told hooks, he used to be scared to ask to fish on hukriedes dock. i heard this, and asked calvin who? he then said you would frequent bill and anna maes, and it clicked!!! i only ever knew one calvin, and that was the little guy on browns lake, that came from sturms place. way too funny !!!

    Cal,

It really is a small world, but you have to realize there are many people on IDA who watched you grow up at your grandmas and grandpas place and the stories are going to fly!
Just wait til we get your Mom and Dad signed up!

    Poor kid!

    Thanks for the laugh!!!!!

I can see myself getting talked into doing something like that as a little kid.
I have a lot of fishing memories from Browns lake. Since Grandma and Grandpa lived so close to the lake. In fact my Grandma still catches huge sunnies off the dock every summer. In fact I gave her a huge supply of panfish tackle for christmas this year.
My younger cousins still fish out there quite a bit since “Barney” has taken over the house.

Holy crap this is a small world!!!!!!!!
