Hes been my favorite kicker and most hated Packer..

Glad to have him in purple. Hope he still has some life in those legs. I think he will do well in the dome..

I guess you can have the best kicker in the world and it wont make much of a difference if he cant kick. Last year your team gave up Moss now this year they are looking to dump C-pepper, who is gonna put the Vikings in scoring position so Longwell can kick, those types of playmakers are not found anywhere just because you have cap money, I don’t get the Vikings stradegy, from my view point that is just fine….

hey guys..I’m from the heart of Packerland…and yes, I have been a Viking or as they call them over here the Viqueens fan since birth. Last year it was Sharper this year Longwell. I’m starting to think that the Packers are now the triple A for Vikings. I love it.. …However they to need to get rid of Culpepper(which I liked), but who starts talking bad about your team…it bye,bye time… Hey maybe they should give that Farve guy a call………

Bigpike, did you live in a cave all last season? Moss was hardly a factor in Oakland and they had a less than average season at best. Not to mention he is injury prone.
Daunte was having the worst year ever and was setting all the wrong records. Then he blows every ligiment in his knee and possibly loses one of his best assets (being mobile). What will he be worth now to us?

i won’t miss him! the reason the packers didn’t resign him was because he missed like ten feild goals last year

I was born and raised a Packer fan. I hate to see our new GM letting good people go – I think he’ll run the Packers into mediocrity before he’s done. You Vikes have got yourself a great kicker. My wife, son and I attended a few days of training camp his first pre-season and Longwell is a class act. I agree with the Culpepper thing – I used to think he was an upcoming QB but since he can’t loft hail Mary’s to Moss anymore he’s not too effective and neither is Moss. As far as giving Farve a call I said during the late season that if you put #4 on the Bears team he’d have another “Ring” – that’s all that team needs. I’m getting on my soapbox now but for what Brett Favre has done for the Green and Gold he deserves a better supporting cast than this new GM is stumbling upon. I just hope I’m wrong!
Go Pack !!! , ok Vikings too since we’re you’re AAA team.

The question still begs, who will score for the Vikings- is 37 year old Brad Johnson the savior, he was never that good when he was young, you have no star running backs, no star QB when you dump C-pep, no stud WR now that Moss is gone. I feared playing the Vikings when Moss could beat you deep on any play now there is nothing left to fear- you guys have no big time weapons on offense, your team better be putting a big time defense together because the offense will be average as things stand now. When C-pep was throwing 38 TD’s he was the greatest thing since sliced bread, now you guys cant dump him soon enough, all players grow up in the spotlight and make mistakes, Favre had his pill popping incident but he came clean- grew up- and became a legend, seems your team wants to dump its superstars in there prime…..just an outside observation..

It might be better to be well round…..a complete package, versus relying on a few super stars to carry the whole team. That hasn’t seemed to work well for the Vikes in the past. Thats my thought.

Offer extended to Seattle’s Steve Hutchinson. O-line was bad last year, but add pro-bowlers Hutchinson and Matt Birk w/ an improving McKinney and we might be in good shape there.

As far as QB-dont think that they arent considering Drew Brees.

I am not huge on Chester Taylor, but I havent seen him play much either. But w/ Moore-any decent RB will make a good one two punch.
