I thought this would be the first post of the morning.

They wont confirm the team yet but its believed to be Oakland or Miami.

Ya, I agree with you guys, Daunte really ticks me off. But, I keep thinking back to 2004, 39 tds, 11 int, 4700+ yards passing. Will he make a full recovery and make us Purple fans regret getting rid of him?

Hey Dartman – It’s nice to see a Purple fan in the heart of Packer country.

Sandbar – born and raised in Wisconsin – 39 years have been a Viking fan! My brother and I are the blacksheep of the family! It’s tough being a Purple fan in Packer country…but we can handle it!

Well if you look at past history, players that tear thier ACL always seem to favor that knee and never seem to produce the same..

That and the fact he was only good because of Moss! Okay, that might have been a little harsh, but he stunk the 7 games he played in last year without Moss (except for the Saints game…I was there)! But then everyone beat the Saints last year! I say one more year with Brad Johnson or a vet like Drew Brees!

I see a lot of same people who praised Daunte on how great of a QB he was in previous posts all sharing in the foot that kicked him out the door. Ironic…and funny.

Yup, I am one of them. Why? I was a fan Culpepper the entire time he played for the Purple, even last year through his 2-5 start. This BS he pulled whining to the media makes my blood boil and shows what loser he really is. He has turned his back on the Vikings organization and it’s time for him to move on.

You won’t find me on any of those posts…and the key word you used was “was”! I will say he WAS a good QB, but he’s also a moron! When Matt Birk was injured, you at least saw him on the sidelines with his teammates…you NEVER saw Daunte after his injury! Enjoy your new team!

He just doesnt have the ability to remain in poise when hes being ruffled out of the pockets and doesnt seem to have the ability to find open coverage when hes under pressure. Many a people have said that he loses his confidence due to pressure in the pocket and on recievers. I really like the guy till this year (now playing the race card to cover his bull—-) But he doesnt have control to be a great QB> I think our chance are better with Johnson. FF

Daunte was NEVER a good QB……He was just surrounded by such great talent, he couldn’t screw up……..But even then, he had alot of fumbles…..

The guy sucked…….and he has a bad attitude…..Did ya’ll hear that he is throwing the race card on the LOVE BOAT scandal???????

The racist pig should be booted out of the NFL!!!!!!!!

For him to play the race card was STUPID, but I don’t think he’s racist! He got his you know what caught in the “cookie jar” and now he’s trying everything he can to get off! A pig…maybe, but a racist…

How about his rushing yards? How about his arm strength? Pro Bowl? Come on G, gotta give him some props..

People also have to remember after Johnson won a superbowl, he was 1-5 with the Bucks in 2004 and was cut..

Then he was a hero for making a run last season with the Vikes. People have bad starts and can turn them around.. This will be a bad decision again, the management did a poor job of not taking care of thier starting QB.

However, I’m quite happy to see him go!!!

I have always said he was a terrible quarterback. He can run, and throws pretty good on the run but overall he is a terrible quarterback in my mind. He invented the underthrowing of receivers, and it worked for a while, until defenses figured out his accuracy was terrible and he wasn’t trying to do that.

Gary and I apparently share a dislike for his abilities because if you look back on old threads our tune hasn’t changed and I am VERY happy to see him go

I love this. Vikings fans as usual turn on their own when things go south. First it was Moss now Daunte. He didn’t help himself by asking for more money in a year when he tears his knee up and gets caught being a naughty boy on the Good Ship Lollipop. As a Packer fan I am sorry to see him go

It takes only one thing to be a “good” quarterback….brains(Fran, Bart,Doug, and Joe). It takes two things to be a great quarterback….ability and brains. Daunte only had one, and it was the wrong one(ability). That only made him adequate at best. No team will go anywhere with him as their quarterback…

He’s just reaching for anything he can get. When he does stuff like that, he makes himself look like an idiot.
