maybe not the exact correct term but where would be a good place to get one. I have a 2003 superhawk and woould like put the higher seat in front. Also about how much and how tall of one should I get, I am about 6’2″ thanks for any info.

Dustin Stewart just added a seat like you’re looking for to his TS 182. The seat post needed for the crestliner bases can be a little tough to find. Shoot him a PM for specifics. He’s about 6’1 – 6’2 as well so the height post he went with should be spot on for you too.

    DP,

I too have a crestliner, and although it is a fishhawk 1850 they require atwood bases with that little black Knob insert type post. Well at Cabela’s they carry springfield with the black lever that sticks out which doesn’t work, UNLESS you spend $20 and replace the base, which I did, and now I have a casting seat that I just went out and sat in to look at the brand name for you. The actual post and extension was 69.99, the seat was 19.99, and the base plate 20.00. Derek will probably get you the best info and tell you where to get the post that will work with your current set up, but at least it gives you another option and you know the price to compare it to. I am anxious to hear from Derek how much it all costs the route he went and where. Can you pm me and fill me in after you find out? Any other questions on what I wrote, let me know. Good luck.

Both my dad and I have 1850’s and my dad went the way of what that JLBASSIN above did. I myself just found this pedistal. Not sure about the lever not working or not as listed above but I think that was an older model like the ones on the Cresliner Seats that are so hard to work. Anyway, I am 6′-2″ tall and in my old boat and in my dads we have 22-29″ pedistals. So that is the height you should look at.

Unless JLBASSIN, or someone else knows something different, I think I am going to go and try the springfield pedistal. The cost is about $15 more than pulling out and replacing bases and then picking up the $65 pedistals and seats. Horse a peice I believe.

JLBASSIN is this the pedistal that you were refering to when you mentioned the little black lever doesn’t work?

Let me know, if so, I am going to pull the bases out as well and put in the 1.77′ pedistals for the front and read decks.
