WOW is right. What a fish. That one would sure be alot of fun on a light action rod or an ice fishing rod.
    Thanks, Bill

It looks a lot like the 2-2 that I had a repo made of
it was 13.25in long and came from Big Sauk lake near Sauk Center
we caught two that day a 2-2 and a 2-1 and a bunch between
11 and 12.75in. ALL WERE RELEASED ALIVE
I hope that we can find them next year

I have caught a lot of fish over the last 62 years but I have never SEEN a gill like that. That’s one for the ages.

I have seen 2 in my short life so far.
They are really impressive when you get to see one up close.

Scott Steil is on gills like that in SD. He has a report on the “Reports” forum. Last year he had some absolute brutes! I am sure he will again this year.

From the looks of the guys clothes, the fireplace and the colors of the fish. I would say fall or winter?
