Hello- I’m new here and would just like to say hi. I’m an avid walleye fisherman. I have been fishing for Nebraska resivoir walleyes since I was a kid. I have always had a boat since I was 16. I bought a big boat 3 years ago worthy of tournament fishing. I fish all of the NWT (Nebraska Walleye Trail) tournaments and am hoping to go to the Cabela’s NTC as an alternate team this year. Tournament fishing is a big priority for me and I’m hoping to fish a couple PWT or FLW tournaments as an amature this season. I look forward to learning from everyone here and I hope I can help someone else out sometime too.

Welcome to IDA Ben We are glad to have you and look forward to hearing how the fishing is in Nebraska. I don’t think we have to many members from that area.
Do you fish Big Mac much? I have been there a few times and love the lake. I never had the chance to fish it however
Again, welcome to IDA, you are going to love it here

Mike- I fish Mac 2-3 time a year. We always have one tournament out there. I wish I could make it there more often, but it’s 5 1/2 hours away. I really like to go down to Kansas to Milford. I’m only 2 hours from there .

Always great to have new folks to share in the information. I know someone had or has a signature that reads something like “we need more Huskers”
Pretty sure you’ll like it here

Welcome aboard. Ignore the Bass guys, they are harmless. Good luck on the tourney trail but dear god don’t start in on how great the cornhuskers are.

    Welcome aboard Ben,
You choose a great website, lots of good ppl. Even if they are from the Socialist Counties of Minnesota. he he he Just ribbing you guys.
I live about 1 hour east of Omaha and use to know a guy that use to fish the tournaments I think his name was John Paul Jones. He use to fish the Neb. circuit.
A buddy and I go fishing to Chamberlin quite a bit if you ever want to tag along.
Good site to meet great fishermen and friends.

best wishes and well, I think they will still let a Husker fan in he he he jk

    Lon

Ps dont worry about being no water in Neb, we all know it is just sand. But it beats the heck out of Iowa mudholes with bullheads.

    Welcome Ben,

This is quite possibly the best Walleye site on the internet.

There where other species mentioned but I am not sure they are in Minnesota, I have met some really good people here good luck this tourney season.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!! We really do have some water in Nebraska. Not a lot but we manage. I live in South East Neb. in the salt valley. I probably have a dozen lakes within an hour of my house. All are real good for you catfish guys and several are great for bass. Unfortunately only a few are good for walleye. Most of my walleye fishing requires me to drive 2 or more hours to get to.
I would like to thank Wade for introducing me to this site. We had a great talk on the phone about electronics last week and he mentioned how great everyone is here at in-depth angling.

    Thanks again everyone!!
