Have a friend coming to spend a couple weeks to fish Lake Pepin this summer. Is there a RV park either on the WI or MN side with a launch/docks? I know he is a big lake fisherman and would prefer trolling the open water since he is not very comfortable on the riverine environment.

Lake Pepin Campground and the ramp at Hoskala [sp] is probably 3/4 mile away. Its the campground in front of Smittys Marine that you drive by all the time Richard. Right on the main road/highway. Or theres one in Stockholm Wisc with a ramp right there. Lake Pepin Campgrounds phone number is 651-345-2909. Don’t know who to contact at Stockholm. Use to pay at the store uptown there but that was years ago.

Thanks for your response. Trouble is the only vehicle to tow the boat is with the RV. Trying to avoid the hassle of hooking up and unhooking the RV everyday.

Don’t forget the campground at Bay City. Launch and facilities are there as well. I don’t have any contact for that one..You can pull the boat up there as well and park it on the sandy shoreline if the wind isn’t beating it..
I think it depends on which poart of the lake you intend to fish. There are parks up and down both sides of the lake. If you plan on fishing the upper third then Bay City has a pretty good park. The launch tends to be a little shallow though. If you plan on fishing the lower end of the lake then I would find a place closer to Wabasha or Pepin. It would be a much shorter boat ride to your fishing area.
