Anyone see that beast of a boat- the Lake Assault with the twin 225’s and the dropdown front end. That is one intimidating machine , a guy could mount one hell of an amphibious landing and assualt!!

Yeah I saw it! all that it needed was a 50 caliber machine gun up front!

I was there on Saturday. Did anybody notice that if you weren’t going to buy an $80,00 cruiser the sales folk were kind of cold? Maybe it was just me. Most of the exhibitors were very disappointed in turnout. It was an owly bunch IMHO.

I thought a lot of the salesmen were like vultures. I quit going in to look at any of the different dealers boats because as soon as I started looking in a boat I was bombarded by at least three different salesmen. I just got sick and tired of telling everyone I was just looking!!

To be honest, I did’nt even hear about the show until late in the day Sat. They need to do a better job of advertising…..

The good thing is that I got free tickets……..The bad thing was that I had to pay $10 for parking…………That was the worse $10 I’ve ever blown………..I’m sorry, but what a waste of time……This wasn’t a boat show……It was a dealer show……I was very surprised at how small it was.

The only benefit of going is that Reed’s had some AWESOME deals, included some St. Croix musky rods at 50% off…….

That was the only benefit of going to that show……Reed’s…….

But that Lake assault water tank was cool!!!!!!!

Ended up driving to Cabela’s to burn the rest of the day.

I did run into Gary Roach and chatted a bit……..But that was about it……

Speaking of Mr. Walleye, my friend and I sat in on his presentation for river fishing walleyes. I’m glad I got to listen to him, I learned a lot and it made up for the price of admission (pay to get hounded by dealers!).

Sorry, I didn’t see this thread before I posted a simular one.
Any way I have to agree with some that the it was hard to just look at the boats and not be given a sales pitch.
What in the world is the Lake Assult used for?

Fire departments for towns with houses on islands.
