make sure you use titebond glue not Titebond II or III. Clamp tight for 24 hours, good as new….. This is not from me it’s from a master woods man musical insterment builder. Oh and a plumber too.
That’s good to know. My daughter plays violin. I would have guessed that that kind of of a break meant replacement of the instrument. I’d be curious to hear how it turns out. Thanks! dd
Make sure you align it as perfectly as possible. If offsides even a little bit then it can affect the intonation. PM me if you need any help.. I did instrument repair for many years. Post a pic if you want. Most times a good high quality wood glue will work fine. Clamping can be tough due to odd angles. Build jigs if you need to.
