Can I use wood glue to glue it back together or do they have to replace the hole thing??

make sure you use titebond glue not Titebond II or III. Clamp tight for 24 hours, good as new….. This is not from me it’s from a master woods man musical insterment builder. Oh and a plumber too.

That’s good to know. My daughter plays violin. I would have guessed that that kind of of a break meant replacement of the instrument. I’d be curious to hear how it turns out. Thanks!

Make sure you align it as perfectly as possible. If offsides even a little bit then it can affect the intonation. PM me if you need any help.. I did instrument repair for many years. Post a pic if you want. Most times a good high quality wood glue will work fine. Clamping can be tough due to odd angles. Build jigs if you need to.
