The DT series has 4/6/10/14&16. Does anyone on here use the DT models. If so do you have a fav. I tried them when they first came out but they had a problem with the diving lips staying on I hear they have took care of that problem so im gonna stock up on some this yr.I like the large profile of the body and the DT4’s an 6 would be something new at that depth for me. Any thoughts?

I absolutely LOVE the Rapala DT cranks. So do Smallies. I have a couple 10’s but I use the 4’s & 6’s most of the time. If they’ve fixed the issue with the diving lips coming undone, that would make them an even better crank. Now they just need to come out with some “Old School” colors.

I guess i shouldnt say they have took care of the issue. I’ve asked a handfull of guys about it and they havent had the problem so i just assumed that it has been taken care of,but you know what they say about assuming anything. Do you think they have fixed it?

Dan I run the Dt series alot. Mainly the 10 and the 16. They still have some troulbe with the lip. Be sure not to slap them on the water to clear weeds and you should be OK.

I also like the 4s and 6. I like the silver/black the most. I have also seen some in silver and blue, but I have not seen them since, I would like to try that color.

Blue turned me on to the DT’s and I like them a lot. They are heavy for their size, so you can cast them a country mile or into the wind no prob. 90% of the time I use them I’m working wingdams and the lips have held up well for me, even banging the rocks!

I also love the DT series and use them with regularity – my go to color is Tennessee Shad but have many Firetigers also – it is one bait that does great without a rattle! I am going to give the ne flat sided DT series a whirl also as soon as the water gets softer.
