Hey I’m not that old. Besides I weigh too much so the shipping charges would be high. I do have to admit that I have a Marcum VS400 Underwater Camera and a Marcum LXi Digital Depth Reader and they are very nice but I still LOVE my Vexilar FL8SE Pro Pack. Works great for me.

    Thanks, Bill

My experiences in Fish Houses are limited being a Nebraska guy but I get up to LOTW every year with some buddies that live in the Grand Rapids area. In 25′ plus water with the other three of us having Marcum’s my buddy Jeff’s Vexilar became… possessed each of the last few years. Not sure on the 8 or 18 bit. I know he made his buddy Lester get a Vex this year so they could fish together. Jeff’s loss The 3 of us with Marcums adjusted the IR a little and we were all in tall cotton.

By the way, love the TC feature. I was at Waubay a week ago and could set the unit to just show my jig as a small yellow report. ANYTIME something came into the cone I got green, then Red meant walleye. It was pretty cool. I will totally admit Vexilar had that system down better before Marcum but it’s nice to have the TC AND the Zoom on those finicky fish NE SD is putting out this year.

By the way, the waubay ice was very goofy. You could drill a hole, then not get a jig down, there would be a water pocket or something at the bottom of the ice then more ice 6″ down again. Strange stuff.

Don’t let them get ya down Walleye Warrior. They know deep down they are still and always will be the minority out there!! We should dig this thread up in a couple of years and see who says what then. Vexilar will STILL be the #1 flasher.

Just so everyone knows, i was just kidding, as you can see i wrote J/K after my previous post. Walleye Worrior, I couldn’t resist posting that after you said “made on the 7th day”….Don’t get me wrong, vexilars truely are awesome, and a vex was the first brand i had ever tried, and then i didn’t know the difference. Now that i am the proud owner of a marcum, i really can see a difference and i would never buy a vexilar now that i am comfortable with my marcum. I myself thought that was a good joke to crack at this moment in time, but if i wasn’t talking out of my , i would say that vexilars are really awesome. For you guys that say marcum’s are not top of the line, I only say one thing…have you tried them? They are truely great!
