Get the Lead Out of It?

I find myself to be completely out of line, out of leadcore line that is! While looking through my Spring catalogs, I ran across an ad for Non Lead Weighted Line that has aroused my curiosity. Has anybody out there used this non lead weighted line? As it is somewhat more expensive, I am wondering how it compares to leadcore line. Does the same general rule of thumb (i.e. 2 yards out, 1 foot down) apply? Is the line diameter equivalent for the same pound test? Any observations regarding the quality and characteristics of this line will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I have run both and found no noticable diffrents in the way thay run.but I run it in 15 feet and less so I dont know how it would work in deeper applications.

Thanks gillman for your response. I am curious why you use weighted line in such shallow waters?

That is the way me grandfather showed me back in the sixtys it works great in shallow and fast moving water to get your bait down on bottom. the one thing I do diffrent is use a leader where he tied directly to the lead line. sone old river rats still do.

Due to the overwhelming response it favor of leadcore I have decided to stay with it!
