FYI Site seems to be running slow. getting many can not display pages when trying to use any feature on the site.

Predator 2 – I had similar response issues on 01/21. Other websites didn’t have the problem so I figured it must have been trouble with the EFN servers. Seems back to ‘normal’ tonite.

Actually, I noticed the very same thing. Last night from about 8 PM until 2:30 AM. I did a trace and found that the issue was with part of the network out in Chicago. You’d think a page request from Red Wing would just hit Winona and then back again, but it doesn’t work that way. Lots of routing around before it gets to where its going… all in a split second. Anyway, packets weren’t making it any further and that was causing the time-outs. What actually was the problem? Not sure. The issue didn’t last long enough to allow me to investigate. Everything seems to be blazing right now though.

We appreciate you pointing this type of issue out. We WANT to know about problems you’re seeing or having so we can fix them all if possible.

Seems to be workin good now. just thought i would let ya know. It took me and dustin about 15min. to send private messages back and forth. So i just called the schmittie drinking putz instead. LOL.

Sure hope you’re only interested in network/server problems James…else you could get past your full time job counseling others…seems there is one gentleman on this site who wants a Hummer!! I think the site is running pretty good. AND ESPECially now since I have the new computer up and running. some have said I have been in the dark ages. I went from the last 7 years from a 100 Pentium to a Pentium 4, wow this computer stuff really is pretty neat. and it’s speedy. Now I need my Costa’s on all the time sitting here.
looking forward to a good year, has started off pretty good.

That whole “need a hummer thing” is completely out of my scope of responsibilities. Not goin’ there! I try not to even think about it. I’ve renamed that post “Hoggie wants a big truck” in my mind. Much less likely to need therapy down the road. Not sure what I can do about the weather besides just pray… and I will. 15 below is just crazy cold.

Get out of fishing? No way. This website thingie just allows a bunch of us to get together and talking fishing, which is darn cool, but when the weather turns warmer, I know where my true talents lie. I’m going fishing! But I have learned some things most guides might not have on their resumes…lol

predator 2….there is a cool deal if the servers are having trouble and you need to get a private message to a buddy…..I know it is old fashioned…Its called a phone! Oh…I just noticed..Dustin is from Iowa….they were not schooled in the use of phones…nevermind.
