    Wondering about people’s feelings on fishing for walleyes on this lake.

    Smith;

    I’ve never fished Eagle. My father and Uncle did a few times way back when……..But they also had guides……..

    A couple of buddies went, one is a serious fisherman. He has never gone back, but we go to LOTW instead.

    I know Eagle has walleyes, smallies, pike, & muskies.

    However, from what I’ve hear there are better systems to fish. LOTW is very popular and actually quite easy to fish, for all species. I’ve never heard anyone say Eagle lake is easy to fish……

    We’ve gone to Eagle Lake for the past 4 summers and will go back again, mainly because it is my wife’s ‘Pampered in Pink’ walleye trip at Temple Bay Lodge. Through the years we have found some spots to catch eater size walleyes but big ones are hard to come by that time of year (Aug).

    If you are looking for bigger fish, there are many other lakes, including LOW that probably would provide better fishing.

    I fished Eagle, way back when, and caught a small muskie, no walleyes!

    I am not interested in going, just in other’s thoughts on the lake. I have been there and was not satisfied with the fishing, but thought I would see if I was in the minority. From the looks of the poll, it is pretty much split down the middle.
