Paint Ball Paint Remover?

Lucky me. My 2004 F-150 parked in the driveway was hit twice by paintballs over the holidays. I tried washing it off. Water does not work. It only got smudged. Feels really tacky, almost like syrup. Car wash didn’t help.
Any ideas how to remove without messing up the clearcoat?
    thanks dave

409 works good or, put it in a warm place like a garge and let the truck warm up. the paint should then come off with water.

Mine got hit while on vacation the first week of November, and I still haven’t gotten it off. I’m thinking I might try some of that tar remover stuff.

I used nice hot soapy water. Came right off without any elbow grease. It was about the same temp as it is now.

My experiences dictate the stuff usually washes off with water. I’d second the comment to let the truck warm up and hit it with some hot, soapy water. Maybe even some hot water out of a pressure washer.

Ya gotta love those kids with paintball markers…

use warm water with a degreaser soap like dawn. i’m not sure if it’s the same there but wonder wash water is warm if you get there early . just take the bottle with you and use the pressure washer. worked for me new years day.

HAPPENS ALL THE TIME!!!! here at the dealership. warm up the truck then used hot soapy water and it will come right off. Id like to catch those little $h!t$ and holdem down and pump about 2 hoppers worth of paint balls into them and that will teach them. good luck, Corey

Note to self: Never shoot wallerbass’s vehicle with paint balls. 2 hoppers worth of paintballs at close range WILL definitely leave a mark

My paint ball gun shoots .40 caliber balls.
    You won’t wash them off…

Mine shoots .44 caliber balls….and they don’t splatter on impact. Although, the recipient does….

    Thanks for the suggestions,
Actually I have tried warm soapy water, been to the car was 3 times. This stuff is very tacky, and now almost feels like tar. The body shop at Abra suggested bug/tar remover. Most came off with elbow grease and Gunk All Purpose Cleaner. But all is said and done, money will have to spent on buffing the clearcoat. thanks again for all your help. Dave
