Well im heading down to a buddies house to do some bird hunting for the weekend.Gotta get after some late season ring necks, and bring in the new year .
December 30, 2005 at 12:12 am #407584My wife and I and 2 other couples are going out to eat and then coming home to celebrate the coming of the New Year. We all live within a block of each other. That wat we don’t have to worry about drinking and driving
December 30, 2005 at 1:42 am #407606Saturday night I’ll be at the Bungalow…might even take the favorite wife along this year.
Quiet location and they give away door prizes for an hour. Steak and Lobster is the special.
Sunday…is the Annual VFW Chili Making Contest…With ALL the rela-tics. A making contest is worse than an eating contest because you are the judge of 15 to 30 differant chilis…and of course you have to try them all….
Might be a long night for the favorite with Sunday night!
December 30, 2005 at 2:08 am #407616Ordered two live lobsters and will have a cold bottle of champagne. Just me and the little lady. Avoiding friends this year.
December 30, 2005 at 2:19 am #407624Me and the little lady are going to Brett Favres Steak House in GB to ring in the New Year and get primed to go see Brett play for possibly the last time ever.

December 30, 2005 at 3:19 am #407645We have a tradition in the Plantz household we fry up a bunch of shrimp pop open a bottle of champagne and rent some movies for the night. Sounds boring I know but I prefer to stay off the roads on amateur night.
December 30, 2005 at 3:58 am #407652my wife will be working until 2:00 A.M. Sunday, so I’ll probably be at the computer with some cold adult beverages.

jldiiPosts: 2294December 30, 2005 at 2:11 pm #407706New Years Eve is always a big deal in my house, mainly because the day before, the 30th, which is today, is my wedding anniversary. 18 years now. So we make it a 4-5 day celebration. We’ll have a low key dinner out tonight, and then we work New Years Eve. My wife is in accounting so she has year end inventory on New Years Eve, and I’m in the restaurant business, I’ll be working that night, but when I get home, we load up and drive up to our fishouse on Mille Lacs and spend a few days up there together fishing, playing with the dogs, and we always bring up a half case of Champagne and wine and several types of seafood which I cook while we are out on the ice. This weekend we’ll be feasting on steamed mussels, King crab legs, oysters on the half shell, and grilled scallops!
December 30, 2005 at 2:22 pm #407712New Year’s Eve is a quiet night in the Putz houshold. Lutey and wine by candle light and then try to stay awake until midnight.
December 30, 2005 at 2:26 pm #407715I’ll be partying it up with the Wifes family here in Buffalo. Lotsa pasta and vino. Don’t plan on getting too loaded as Sunday, its a long 13 hour drive back home to Lax.
December 30, 2005 at 2:29 pm #407717Well I’ll be in the tree stand trying to stick the last doe of the year for the freezer. Always kinda nice to finish the year that way and thank Mother Nature for another great one. After that over to some friends to break in the family room remodel I did for them in the basement. They got the painting done and I finished the final wiring yesterday. Just need to do some tile around the woodstove and laminate flooring yet. Food and drink and screaming kids running around. I’m like Putz. Hope I stay awake until midnight.
