Just wanted to share a few pics from the XMAS game. It turned out to be kind of exciting at the end. With Chicago not having to worry about much next week , they will be able to rest and get ready for the playoffs…I think they might surprise a few people.

Thanks for the pics
Its an AWSOME experience to be in that stadium for a Packer game——-win or looseDecember 27, 2005 at 3:30 pm #406845FINALLY a reason to cheer this year. Our bad season has HELPED eliminate the Viqueens from theplayoffs!
Now if only Houston would win thier last game.
I will be cheering for the Bears during the Playoffs. unlike some, I at least keep my loyalty within the division when my team doesnt win it,
December 27, 2005 at 3:47 pm #406848The Packers couldn’t help themselves all year long, Viking fans knew they couldn’t help them…The Packers lead the league in one thing….interceptions…way to go Brett.
If the Texans win their last game, and the Peckers loose(as they surely will) both will have the same record…
December 27, 2005 at 4:03 pm #406851Nice Pics Slop!
I’ve never had the good fortune to see a game at Lambeau, but my son and a friend were able to a few years back, even though they had to drive 6 -7 hours after working a third shift to do it. Their pics weren’t quite as nice maybe tired, maybe beer
Thanks for sharingdave
December 27, 2005 at 4:14 pm #406857But we will BOTH be the same place during the playoffs, WATCHING! Except we will finally draft higher than the queeens.
December 27, 2005 at 4:20 pm #406860I have to admit you are right. That draft pick will fill one whole in a team that has many. I hope next year Green Bay can win one more game than this year, then it will all be worth it…
OH!! wait, that will mean they will have a record of 4 and 12…nice..
December 27, 2005 at 4:22 pm #406861I watched the game the other day and I have one question for the packer fans. Why is Bret still playing?? He has lost them a ton of games this year. It’s obvious the pack is going into rebuild mode. Why not get the young guy some experience?? This is not a knock the “the greatest warrior to ever play the game”. A simple observation from a fair weather vikes fan.
December 27, 2005 at 7:02 pm #406894I, for one, am sick of talking about the ’05 season whether it is the Vikes or the Pack. One team is crappy, the other mediocre and BOTH out of the play-offs. They both play meaningless games this week. Both have been discussed ad nauseum and deserve not another second of time be wasted on them.
Bring on March so I can break out my boat and fish Pool 4!December 27, 2005 at 7:52 pm #406907Fish if you are loyal to the division then why are you glad the queens are out?
December 27, 2005 at 9:15 pm #406919Looks like you had really good seats Slop.
Cheering for the Pack was hard and unrewarding, I’m glad it’s over.

Too bad Farve cost the Pack another game. Man, he stinks.
Definately made a bad pass the was picked for TD. However as I see it, if Longwell makes the 2 makeable field goals, then the Pack is only needing enough gain for field goal position to win the game instead of needing a TD to tie and forcing Farve into a long pass.
December 27, 2005 at 11:56 pm #406949Because Mat03z, they are not very good. I would preffer to see the Bears win over the Seahawks, Giants, etc…
December 28, 2005 at 2:41 am #406973When the Packers go out on a boat at least it is to fish…I guess the Vikings did kind of also. Ticket scalping, hiding a positive drug test, trading the best player in the NFL and a little naughty boat ride….yeah, it was a great year to be a Queens fan. At least I can read my kids the sport page without having to blush and explain how several laws have been broken in the last year.
December 28, 2005 at 2:57 am #406977Hmmm, didn’t Al Harris get busted for something with a stipper and then some wierd driving incident? Ahman Green for hitting his wife a few times, Davenport for pooping in a closet, etc. etc. If you don’t think all pro teams have stupid athletes doing this, you’re not paying attention. Glass houses, pot-kettle, and all that.
Amazing how last year there were tons of Packer fans saying Moss was just a mouth and not all that great, then he’s traded, and he’s the NFL’s best player.
In retrospect, the Vikes traded a guy who can’t stay healthy anymore for a rookie who may or may not pan out, a LB that sucks royally, and a draft pick that was cut. Doesn’t seem like a very big trade after all.
Sorry to hyjack your thread Slop. Hope you had fun at the game. I know you drank some beer.
December 28, 2005 at 5:41 am #406997Charges against Harris were dropped, Green never hit his wife(not saying that what happened was OK either) and in all instances you listed the NFL never reprimanded any of the Packers involved. Most teams have problems sure, but not to the extent that have involved several different Vikings players and coaches this year. Anybody who knows anything about pro football knows that Moss is one of the top receivers in the league. How many players can you name where teams set defensive schemes for an individual player. Two, Vick and Moss. Ask Dainty Culpepper if he misses his bailout, bomb it down the field receiver. Culpepper was having his worse year by far without Moss. Moss looks like a choir boy this year compared to the laundry list of off the field extras. Sorry, I can’t pull for the Bears either; that would be just wrong. Go Colts, Tony Dungy deserves a Super Bowl ring after he got the shaft in Tampa.
jldiiPosts: 2294December 28, 2005 at 6:10 am #407000Hey Belgiun, if you want to start airing out dirty laundry, be sure you talk about Lofton and Ivory, Mark Chmura, and don’t forget those G.B. hero’s (Hornung, and the other guy) that were tossed out of the league for a year for gambling on their own football games. As long as we are pointing fingers, don’t forget all the Packer fans that killed and hung Dan Devine’s family dog in front of his house for his wife and kids to see when he accepted the coaching job at Notre Dame.
I’ll be glad to continue if you insist…..
December 28, 2005 at 3:03 pm #407056So if the chargers against Culpepper and Williams are dropped or they are found not guilty, will we see a rescinding of your statements on them? I would guess not.
I’m pretty sure Green has been charged multiple times with domestic abuse of one kind or another, and plea bargained at least one. In all honesty, I really don’t care so I don’t follow it that closely, but to think the Packers are a bunch of choir boys is a joke.
December 28, 2005 at 3:29 pm #407063the Lofton-Ivery thing was at a strip club in Milwaukee. don’t rememeber the details but was pretty tame. I’ll give you the Chewey debacle. I really wish you rubes would check your facts about the Devine dog thing. It’s very well documented that a neighbor shot his dog after it killed a bunch of his farm ducks. Had nothing to do with football. Another urban legend debunked.
Come up wth some better stuff, will ya?December 28, 2005 at 3:36 pm #407066

How ’bout NO …. It’s time to move on, so let’s find something/anything better to discuss.
December 30, 2005 at 1:34 am #407601I can still play this game if you want. How about those great Viking fans throwing glass booze bottles at the refs. I forgot to mention Kevin Williams assaulting his wife last year or Kenny Mixon getting his 3rd DUI as a member of the Queens and who can forget about the Keith Millard years. I have heard some pretty good stories about him at training camp in Mankato. We could go back and forth all day, I still have a few left.
