I just heard Jon Madden say ” where are you going to find a better coach then Mike Sherman?” Is he (john Madden) trying to keep people watching this game or something? Or maybe John was having a stroke in the booth? Did he not read the paper this morning and see the pack was 3-11 ??

What do you cheesheads think? Bring Sherman back for 2006?

I have to agree, even as a die hard packer backer, that game was tough to watch. Sherman not all the problems, but he would be a good start.

The Purple faithful would love to see Sherman and Favre return next year. 24 interceptions this year, and zero touchdown passes the last three games.

Glad to see the faithful back online. What happened to you guys sunday? Huge power outage? I figure it must have been. Cant think of any other reason we didnt hear from the purple faithful.

Sorry about that Dan, yah, it was a ugly loss for the Purple. The playoff possibilities look minimal, considering the Purple fans expect the Pack beat the Bears next week. Yes, the Purple have had a up and down season, but it has to be REALLY tough being a Packer fan. Favre is done, he looks terrible, I do hope he returns for a couple more years. It has been fun seeing “the great one” crumble under pressure “trying” to make plays.

It’s not all Sherman. Injuries surely havent helped, but some changes are needed, and a new coach wouldnt be a bad place to start. As much as I like Favre, Sherman should have been able to get him to pull his head out of his butt and not sling the ball just for show… well, at least they should get a good draft choice, and next week the Bears should make mincemeat of the Pack, so the vikes should be history AGAIN…

You hope Favre returns just as we hope your perverted QB Culpepper comes back and makes an a$$ out of himself once again. Favre’s been doing bad statistically this year because he was trying to make things happen after Sherman put his team in predicaments, and that’s all you can ask a QB to do when we were behind 18 points last night.

You can look at numbers all you want and laugh, but that still doesn’t reflect on a players true passion for the game, a players history and god-given ability to sling the football.

Ooops, must have hit a nerve there B.C. Typical though, I was making fun of Favre playing like garbage, and you bring up off the field problems with a Viking. I don’t know if any Packer or Viking fan should bring up incidents that happen off the field. There are plenty off embarassments for both clubs, don’t you think? Remember it’s just a game, sorry Berts season and maybe career are over. He WAS a very good QB at one time. Like I said, I hope he comes back for two more years and leads the league in interceptions.

Blah blah blah, you poor sport. Attacking my grammar because Bert is having a bad season? Get a grip there buddy. Have a sense of humor. Don’t take your precious Packers so seriously. Watch it!! It’s the grammar police. Bwahahahaha. Give me a break.

Maybe it’s time to relax, remember, it is ONLY a game.

Steve Mariucci is available, and he knows the same offense your team has been playing so you won’t miss a beat next year!

Generally the past speaks for itself:

    2004 GB (12-4) Vikes (8-8)
    2003 GB (10-6) Vikes (9-7)
    2002 GB (12-4) Vikes (6-10)
    2001 GB (12-4) Vikes (5-11)

Sure, we live in the past-but it sure was great. Sherman and Favre’s master plan for Reggie Bush looks like it may work out well.

OOPs! I forget, we were 10-6 in 2004, but still it was better than 8-8. Go Vikes!

Yup, 8-8 Vikes beat the 10-6 Pack in the playoffs……last year.

Only thing I’ll say is both the Pack and the Purple will be watching (instead of playing) football after Jan. 1st.

It just looks to me like Favre doesn’t care anymore. Any pass pressure, and he just lobs it up for grabs. I mean, he could have had 6 picks in the first half last night if the Ravens could catch. The pick by Samari Rolle and Deion were just basically chuck it up lobs into double and triple coverage.

What’s the news on Gado? I heard that he pulled or tore his MCL? If that’s true how many running backs has the Pack gone through this year? That’s unbelievable!!

Even as a Bear fan I can’t blame what’s happened to the Pack this year on Favre. As much as he’s kicked our sorry butts for so many years I’d love to see him hang it up but he won’t/can’t go out like this. And I haven’t heard a Packer fan yet say that they want Sherman to get canned. Maybe the talk is out there and I just don’t hear it being south of the ‘cheddar-curtain’?

The Pack will give the Bears all they can handle on Sunday, I have no doubt about that. Somehow, someway they’ll make it a game.

early reports are he tore it and will miss the final two games. the Bears have nothing to fear from their running or passing games.

Favre has had a rough year but in my mind I still think he could be part of a winning team if he had a dependable running back. Excuses I know, but I still enjoy watching him play because you can see he still enjoys himself on the field, winning or losing. Either way, we will stick with our team through a 3-11 season.

Keep trying………. It’s just more fun to debate football with fans from both sides of the river that have a little football knowledge in their responses. But, your grammar comments are very insightful.

    Dean,

us Packer fans are in a place right now that we haven’t experienced since the pre-Favre days. It stings. In fact most of the Viking fans in my office here in St Paul aren’t even ribbing me that much. Couple of guys just came over, patted me on shoulder and had looks of pity on their face.

That said, being 3-13 and out of the playoffs is really no different than being 8-8 and out of the playoffs except we will get a higher draft choice. I would be more disappointed in my team if we had been a pre-season pick to be a SuperBowl contender and ended up 8-8 and out of the playoffs.
