I received this email. Apparently this monster was taken in Nebraska by a guy from Truman, AR. 412lbs, and scored in the 150’s B&C. I can’t confirm the validity of the story one way or another. But regardless, this animal is truely a sow!

I know the Iowa state record on the hoof deer is 440 pounds shot in Allamakee county along time ago but never seen a picture of it to see the size of one that big. This is close enough, boy is a deer that size huge!

    Good one Mack

That is an impressive animal. Not to often a 150 inch buck looks more impressive from the back side

The more I look at the deer, I can believe the weight, but not the rack score. It doesn’t appear to have the mass or the tine length. Main beams are good as well as width. But either way, that sucker is HUGE

I did a search for this deer on one of the “True or False” web sites and did not find it. I did how ever find the 200 lb Mountain Lion on the site that was shot in Kansas. Apparrently bogus. Big deer either way, wether it is 412 or not it is definitly bigger than any deer I have ever seen. Even if it is only 380 lbs.

I bet he is not as old as you might think.
That 150 class rack is perfectly symetrical and doesn’t look like it’s past it’s prime.
And his nose isn’t real long like a young deer but it’s not as short as some old bruisers I’ve seen.
That big of a body almost suggests a genetic thyroid or diabetic issue.

I was in Minnesota over the opener for deer season and watched the news. The largest white-tail on record was shot in Minnesota and weighed 500 pounds. Now that is a HOG!!!! Ted

Just learned something, i didn’t know that, how old of a record is that, did they say? The one in Iowa was the standing one but it was gotten back in the 50’s or 60’s.

No im not dislexic, i though a little mix up of the words would look more like shell shock that Rip might have.
