I fought with cable providers for 7 years to get what I was paying for, never got it. Picture was always snowy, couldn’t get some of the channels I was suppose to get, and the last straw was when we got new neighbors, they disconnected my line from the box, and connected the new neighbor. It actually took them 9 days to figure out why I didn’t have any reception….end of story. I told them to stick it where the sun don’t rise, I actually hooked the cable to my truck and pulled it out of the ground and got DishNetwork satellite, not a problem for 3 years…Cable companies think they gotcha by the short hairs because they own the lines…well they don’t own the airways….satellite is the only way to go. I have 60 more channels, and 8 movie channels at the same cost as the cable..

    Bucky,

If you go with the dish get the dvr for sure. Your regular VCR works for &^%$ on the satelite and most are giving a free dvr upgrade to new customers. No more commercials for the owner of a dvr. Well worth the price.

Not really….go with the one you get the best deal from. They run promotions all the time. I think now you can get a free DVR from Direct tv if you sign up. Not sure of any other promos going now. Check out their websites. http://www.dishnetwork.com and http://www.directtv.com I have Dish Network and love it, but I think you the same service from Direct TV also.

If you like the hockey gophers (as I do), get directtv. As I recall, fox sports net is not on Dish network. If my info is old, someone please correct me.

I forgot to tell you that you get about 35 music channels of Sirius radio also with Dish Network.

To answer the question about Gopher sports…yes they are on FSNnorth on Dish Network.

The biggest problem with that picture is: DO THE PEOPLE WHO COMPLAINED GET THE MONEY?????? That money should not go to the government…….

bucky12pt…I had Dish Network for over 5 years. I had problems with both service and product. I was at my wits end and I got NO help from Dish Network. My bill went up on average twice a year and the service just got worse. I live in the country, North of Hutchinson, and there was no other option back then. I had no service during wind, rain, snow, and lightning. I even paid $100 to have my svstem looked at by a Dish Network technician with the same results. I tried to deal with Dish Network, but I was told I had to BUY a new system Our cable company ran a line out to our area and we were the last house on the line. I have had GREAT success with our cable company and the price is less with HBO included. I know alot of people who have problems with Dish Network, but I guess that is my $.02. I also can watch tv when the snow is flying and the wind is howling Good Luck 690reece

I have been a cable-hater for a long time. I have Charter cable HS internet which is currently my only option. I have been a DirecTV subscriber for 5 years. I love it. I recently hooked up HD and love it even more. Life is good!

We’ve experienced all three, direct antena, dish network and Charter cable. Hands down Charter cable wins. When you loose your service every snow or rain storm you begin to see what the value is. High speed internet is second to none, and I speak from experience with DSL and dial up currently. As far as the video, you can purchase the service and it is for all of your TV’s. But tell me how much did you pay to put a box on each of your TV’s or does your family watch the same thing on from different rooms every night. If you truly match prices, you can’t argue the value of Charter cable TV.

I have Charter Cable TV, Internet, and Phone. I have had problems with the cable in the past, but I’ve also seen the same type problems with both Dish and Direct TV. Just as 690reec eand EyesHaveIt stated, when there is any sort of storm…rain, wind, or snow, the satellite services suck.

I have experience with all of the internet services except satellite…which is ridiculous cost wise and just plain slow…and Charter Pipeline in lights years ahead.

I’m with e-tec_angler, have the same and love it, just which it didn’t cost so much. Like everyone knows money is power

Thank God for money, just wish I had more.
