Thought this article was a pretty good read. On the right side of the page, there is a poll for the Packer fans, looks like they are finally blaming Bert for leading the league in interceptions and losing games.

The Poll states:
Quote:
Who was most responsible for the Packers’ 19-7 loss to the Chicago Bears Sunday?
There is no doubt he is the reason for the loss on Sunday….I dont’ see any blame on him on this poll for leading the league in Intereceptions and Losing ALL the games…
Nice bias
December 5, 2005 at 8:50 pm #401405I’m OK if he finishes his carrier in Minneapolis. He would be a ton better that going back to Culpecker
Hell, Johnson is better than Culpecker!

jldiiPosts: 2294December 5, 2005 at 8:53 pm #401407No, I think Brett needs to put most the weight of this loss on himself.
It wasn’t so much that the Bears beat G.B. as it was that GB beat themselves.
December 5, 2005 at 9:05 pm #401412I think he means future hall of fame quarterback Brent Farve.
At least that is what Mike Vick called him!December 5, 2005 at 9:10 pm #401417I thought he meant Bert Reynolds. He was a good QB in The Longest Yard. Green Bay should sign him, they could use a good QB like Bert.
Chicks dig Bert. Then again most of the chicks in Green Bay have more facial hair than Bert Reynolds…
Yes, I know…..it’s Burt. Not Bert.
December 5, 2005 at 10:22 pm #401443the article does have one fact wrong. favre did throw a touchdown pass. i think i hear the superbowl shuffle playing
December 5, 2005 at 10:40 pm #401452Lotta smack talkin going on here. The man has been trying to win games all by himself. He may not be perfect, but he is a dam far sight better than the clowns the Vikes have paraded around at QB since Tarkington retired. If you look at the numbers, He is better than every QB to ever take the feild except Dan Marino. He is certainly the toughest.
I’ll take him as our QB again next year…you guys stick with Orton, Grossman… Culpepper, Johnson… or Harrington, Garcia or whoever else you have on your roster. Bret has been throwing to a bunch of practice squad players and a couple beat up starters who are almost always double teamed because the opponents know the other guys are practice squad guys.
Personally, I wish they would let Bret start the first series, then sit him down and play Nall and Rodgers, see who develops into the better QB for the future. Might as well, seems as if every other 3rd and 4th string guy we have is playing. Its time to evaluate tallent and treat the remainder of the season like preseason games.
December 5, 2005 at 10:57 pm #401460Passer ratings:
2004- Daunte 110.9 Favre 92.4
2003 Daunte 96.4 Favre 90.4
2002 Daunte 75.3 Favre 85.6
2001 Daunte 83.3 Farve 94.1
2000 Daunte 98.0 Favre 78.03 out of 5 aint bad ..
December 5, 2005 at 11:08 pm #401465Lol…those status just prove how much Favre can do with mediocre receivers.
Ryan Leaf could have good numbers if he had Chris Carter or Randy Moss to throw to.
December 5, 2005 at 11:18 pm #401467Passer ratings aren’t gonne get Culp to the Hall of fame…he will NEVER beat Favre’s, Marino’s or Elway’s numbers.
December 6, 2005 at 12:14 am #401479#1 if you even put culpepper on the same wave lenth as favre and look at culpepper he is nothing without moss, no moss, no culpepper yes favre is on the decline, but not out, no recievers to throw to is the key he is use to a playmaker and has none now. same thing as culpepper with moss, put any quaterback that could read a defense in those years and you have even better stats!!!
December 6, 2005 at 12:34 am #401482Bart, isn’t it Bart….Bart Simpson…Ya that’s it, Bart Simpson..Yup, That’s what I heard, Yup I did…….
December 6, 2005 at 12:52 am #401484Watch the name calling and personal attacks, or this “Fun” post will get nuked. It is getting borderline right now…
December 6, 2005 at 1:57 am #401499I thought we were suppose to talk fishing here, not something so idiotic and primal as football.
Where are the fish??jldiiPosts: 2294December 6, 2005 at 5:31 am #401533Actually we are discussing human nature. Its like this, when the Packers and Favre were winning everyone was a Packer fan, but now that times have gotten tough, many of these so called Packer fans are proving that they were only Favre fans, and now they aren’t true Green and Gold bleeders. They are seperating themselves from a truly great player only because he isn’t the “man” anymore. Its really a bad mark on the true fans of Packerland. I can relate because I see it every year here in Minnesota with many Viking fans and their feelings towards our own QB situation. Either you are a fan with unwavering support for your team, or you aren’t a fan at all.
December 6, 2005 at 11:30 am #401538Well spoken JLD. Although you may be of the purple persuasion, truer words have never been spoken.

Sorry SB, I added the interception part myself. It’s a tough year for the Cheeseheads and Bert is responsible for throwing picks that have lost quite a few games. Got to give Bert a little credit, I don’t know how he even got off the ground with some of the hits he took on Sunday. I am cheering for the Pack to run the table and win the rest of their games. Reggie Bush would not look good in Packer land.
P.S. GO VIKES!
December 6, 2005 at 12:12 pm #401542Easy there Folks,
These are only for fun. Ya to CHEER for the team of your liking is just fine and to get mad at them when not doing well is fine to, BUT ther is NO ONE on this site who controls any of the outcomes. Not one of us calling a play, coaching any position so none of us has really anything at stake besides being just a fan.
At the end of the day we all return to our wonderful families and the ol salt mine.
Fans can dissagree and poke a bit of fun from time to time but to have direct attacks are not nessasary and my guess will not be tolorated by the Moderator.
Lets keep the blows, or jests, above the belt.December 6, 2005 at 5:21 pm #401645Everyone, the truth is football has changed with free agency and everyone wanting big $. If you pay someone 7 million dollars a year to throw the ball it should be catchable – if you pay someone 2 million dollars a year to catch the ball and the ball hits his hands he should catch the ball – the same can be said for any position. We all work with people that have more heart and morals than 90% of these players on ANY team and our peers don’t make the big bucks.
Personally I would rather watch high school football, then college, then the pros in that order. I have not yet resorted to watching figure skating over the Sunday game but it may be getting close!
