I have used a car battery with 12 volt recreational vehicle 40 wat bulbs, put into a “pinch grip” work lamp fixture… clamps on anywhere. An extention cord (female end) cut short hooks to the leads on the battery…. and a long regular cord on the lamp fixture plugs into it. I have two of these in a shelter run from the same battery. They have a cut off switch on the fixture and a reflector dome on top which keeps light out of your eyes, if positioned low… mostly, I keep them positioned overhead.

I went to Home Depot and bought one of those small round lights for underneath cabinets and hooked to connectors to the end of the leads. I run this off my old flasher battery that did not have enough juice to run my zercom – but more than enough for this light. i rigged it to fit on one of the cross poles of my shelter. It gives off plenty of light and takes very little space.
