Lets have some fun! I know we have a little more than 1 month left in the year but show us or tell us the story behind the picture or just a story itself if you cant put up a picture. My story behind this shot is this: During our trip to Canada we would troll for trout once a day for a couple hours weather permitting to take a break from casting for pike. We fished a hump that came up from 200′ in every direction and topped out at 25′. The trout were there but wouldnt bite for 5 straight days, the 6th day things changed, the trout were scattered up and down the water column instead of sitting down 100′ and deeper. The bite was on, for two days we caught nice lakers, this was my biggest at just over 20#. My biggest fish this year!

    Nice photo Bigpike!

Bet she gave you a tussle!

I think my biggest “bait” fish was a 3 lbs walleye…although I might be stretching the weight just a little.

Had a few nice fish come to the boat this year. Got to say it was anouther great year of fishing and it is not even over with yet. Here is a list of some of the nice fish I got to tangle with.

110# sailfish caught in mexico in febuary. My biggest sail to date and caught it while being dead sick. Nearly passed out after getting the fish to the boat. Also half way threw getting this fish to the boat my buddy hooked into anouther one and the captian was trying to get a third fish to go. This left the gals to drive the boat. What a blast.

20# amber jack. My first fish ever caught surf fishing.

28# grouper off the coast of Daytona this spring.

Caught a 29″ and a 29 3/4″ walleye for my biggest walleyes of the year. Both where caught this spring. One on pool 2 the other on pool 4.

Landed a 39.5″ pike on Mille lacs just a couple of weeks ago. Im not a big fan of catching pike but when they get this big it is a blast.

It was a great year of fishing.

Hear is a photo of anouther nice sail fish caught a few years back. It was hooked deep and that is why it is hanging and not still swimming.

Cant seem to find the photos of the walleyes and had no camara with for the pike.

Here is the best EYE for the year. It was caught on the St. Louis river in May while running cranks. It was 29 inches. Did not get a weight, she was released after this photo

This was a hard year for me in the size department when it came to muskie hunting. Here was the largest I managed to boat this year..45″ from Indy. Lots of 40″-43″ fish came to the boat this year but the big girls just would not go ……

Very nice fish everyone! I like the muskie shot with the kids on the tube in the backround. Nothing like catching a pressured fish with boats buzzing around. Make’s those kids think twice about jumping in the lake, haha… Here is the biggest fish I saw, same trip different local. She tips the scales at 27.25 pounds and 48″. Also it should be noted the fish was recently spawned out…..

Yeah, i have seen that pic before in another one of your posts. It is a true hog pike. I caught a 44 earlier this year and about flipped out of the boat i was so amazed by the size of it! COuldnt get a pic, as it flopped out of mine and NIck Davis’s hands when we were trying to get it in the boat (net was too small )
But i did get this nice 21″ largemouth earlier in the year!

My buddy Dan caught that hog, he was pretty happy with that fish. He’s getting it mounted. Nice pictures of Bass coming out, the size and quality has really improved since I was a kid, when alot of people would kill them….
