It’s not hard to figure out, it was a Milwaukee game. Even the fans who live in Green Bay think they are embarrassing and don’t like them.

Doesn’t matter, either way, they were Packer fans!

You know its pretty sad when even the coach is looking at some major fines for trying to sell counterfit superbowl tickets

Ummmmmmm…. You might want to read the paper and get up to speed on current events. Tice was already fined by the NFL for $100,000.00 for scalping tickets. Plus, they weren’t conterfit. One more thing, before you start calling the Vikings players jacka$$e$, you might want to research the Packers players history of “off the field problems”. Get some better material to “try” to bash us Viking fans. Sorry your squad was swept by the Purple this year.

We don’t need reggie bush. We need Tomba Halli (sp?) from Penn St. Then a few good O linemen (guards) and a big wide reciever.

Lets talk about history for a second. Why is it no-one except the Vikes minds bringing it up? Maybe because the only “history” they have is that they are like Buffalo as being one of the biggest LOSERS in Superbowl history.

The real rivalry in football has yet to be played. Bears/Packers is the longest in the league. Its funny, you talk all that smack about beating us, now you wanna cheer for us to beat the Bears twice for you?

And yes, we will talk about the draft. after all, you guys have been picking better than we have for the past 10-15 years.

Were not sore loosers, we are loyal fans.

    Press release from MN

We’re sorry, but due to an unexpected turn of events, the Viking bandwagon has reached maximum capacity. Please be patient and wait for the next scandal, when more room will surely become available. Thanks for understanding.

    Wade,

I agree with you about Bush. He’s good, but a team with the 1st pick needs to address their needs more than just taking whats there. As for the rivalry stuff, as was explained to me when I was at Lambeau last year, yes the Bears are your oldest rivals, but for the last 15-20 years, we have been your hottest rivals. (Maybe because with the exception of a couple years hare and there, the Bears have really sucked thru all that time??) Anyway, yes, we are pulling for you guys to beat the Bears, so? No team wins a division without going undefeated, or having the other teams in that division loosing a few games!

About the draft pick thing, why was it that all thru the 70’s, 80’s, and early 90’s, the Packers got to draft so much earlier than the Vikings every single year, but the Vikings just kept on winning one division title after another, after another…….consistancy? In the long and storied career of the Packers the Vikings have won almost twice as many division titles than you guys, and you swept us something like the first 14 games we played you!!

Lastly,…Super Bowls. Ahhhh, the last breath, dying arguement of every Packer fan in the world! There are several teams that have multiple S.B. titles beside the Packers, but it is only the Packer fans that feel its nesseccary to hide behind those trophies when their team takes a crap.

    Why is that?

Whoa whoa whoa…hold up there. i was not trying to bash the fans, just pointing out that the team is a pretty cocky group and if you don’t agree, well thats your opinion. You are right, i should have looked into it more with the tice thing..I guess i didnt have it straight, but i knew he was getting fined for something to do with selling superbowl tickets..and thats enough for me. Next time i will be a little less ignorent. But still, i know plenty of packer fans, as well as just as many viking fans that would agree that the vikes are a less than classy group. And thats a fact!

Just trying to clear things up…Lets not get all worked up over this now OK..this is how it all starts!

I think it’s tough to find “classy” athletes in all levels of profesional sports. The Purple have done some pretty stupid things recently and we can debate the level of “class” in the Packer locker room. Getting worked up is half the fun when talking Viking/Packer smack. Sorry if I was a little “too worked up” in my previous response.

Sounds like someone is already worked up over this.
As far as the draft thing over the last 15 years, the Packers have averaged picking 20th in the first round, while the Vikings have averaged 18th overall. Not that much disparity when you look at it. This also includes the three years the Vikings didn’t have a 1st rd pick because of the Herschell Walker trade, that paid off beautifully because his first game helped the Vikes beat the Pack.

I remember that game. Walker got around 144 yards and lost his shoe. I thought we had a great RB for years to come. We all know how that turned out.

[/qoute]No, maybe the team isn’t, but their fans are !!

    From wbay.com
    Nov 22, 2005, 05:15 PM CST

Green Bay police say Monday night’s Packers-Vikings game had the highest number of arrests and ejections of any game this season.

Fifteen people were arrested and 52 ejected from Lambeau Field.

The arrests were for a variety of crimes including drug possession, underage drinking, and unlawful conduct. Most of the ejections were for unruly behavior.

Ashwaubenon Public Safety reported 61 calls related to the Packers game resulting in nine arrests. Two people were charged for domestic violence and three were arrested for fighting. Two were arrested for drunken driving, including a person being charged with their seventh Operating While Intoxicated offense.

    ——————–

Of course, lets not forget the Green Bay fan’s ritual of lining up on the street and dropping their pants and mooning the opposing team bus when they leave Lambeau either.

You guys are the best fans in the NFL,… yeah right!

I only got one more thing to say..I am 100% sure that you will find that at any football game you go to.Even at the highschool football games, we see fights, drunk people, and i wouldnt be surprised if there were drugs involved as well. This is a problem no matter where you go, wheather you are in Wisconsin..Minnesota…anywhere..So i wouldnt blame that on the packer fans.

Its time to move on. The game is in the books, and we all have to wait till next year to start our fun ribbing all over again.

My hunch is the Vikes will win the division; but then again I thought the Pack-Viking game was literally a gimme for Green Bay.

As for sour grapes and whining, being a Pack fan I still think the Vikes deserve a lot of credit. The Packers have a tendency to fall apart in the second half and it sure showed against the Vikes.

Did I just read someone suggest that they think the Vikings will win the division?! With the same offense we watched on Monday night or will they be trading for Indy’s offense?

    Just checking.

TO END THIS THREAD (AT LEAST MY PART)

A Minnesota Viking family of football supporters head out one
    >Saturday to do some of their shopping.

OK ONE MORE THAN I’M DONE

Two Vikings fans boarded a flight out of New York. One
    > sat in the window seat and the other sat in the middle seat.
    > Just before takeoff, a Packer fan got on and took the aisle seat.
    > After takeoff, the Packer fan kicked his shoes off, wiggled his toes
    > and was settling in when the Viking fan in the window seat said,
    > “I think I’ll get up and get a beer.” “No problem,” said the Packer fan,
    > “I’ll get it for you.” While he was gone, one of the Vikings
    > fans picked up the Packer fan’s shoe and spat in it.
    >
    > When he returned with the beer, the other Vikings fan said,
    > “That looks good, I think I’ll have one too.”
    >
    > Again, the Packer fan obligingly went to get it and
    > while he was gone, the other Viking fan picked up the
    > other shoe and spat in it.When the Packer fan returned to his seat,
    > they all sat back and enjoyed the flight.
    >
    > As the plane was landing, the Packer fan slipped his feet into his shoes
    > and knew immediately what had happened. He looked at the
    > two Viking fans and asked, “Why does it have to be this way?
    > How long must this go on? This fighting between our teams?
    > This hatred? This animosity? This spitting in shoes and peeing in beers?

The Pack doesnt have a couple championships, they have the MOST.

Just because the bears have sucked tha past few years doesn’t mean the rivalry is dead…the boarder battle here is only a big deal to the “dark side” As far as I am concerned. I would gleefully accept a 14-2 season with 2 losses to the queens. But could not accept two losses to “Da bears”.
Besides recent events there are alot of things wrong with the Vikes. Such as they play INDOORS, On PLASTIC.

Just as your now instant Packer fans when we play the bears, I hope Daunte comes back and Tice stays.

Well for the first time in 15 years we do have the draft to look forward to, in the day of free agency and salary cap I would say thats about as impressive of a run as the Vikings, Bears and Lions could hope to do combined! 1 Super bowl, 2 apearences, 5 NFC championship games and 7 division crowns. As Packer fans there is no shame in that! Now we can look forward to the Reggie Bush sweepstakes!

Lets not forget the Pack is about to lose one of the best QB’s to play the game and he will never be replaced. He lead the team. I think your going to see some long seasons ahead in Packer land..

A Green Bay Packer family of football supporters head out one Saturday to do some of their shopping.
While in the sports shop the son picks up a Viking jersey (#84) and says to his older sister, “I’ve decided to become a Viking fan and I would like this for my birthday”.
His big sister is outraged by this and promptly whacks him up side the head and says, “Go talk to mother”. Off goes the little lad with the Purple #84 jersey in hand and finds his mother. “Mom?”
    “Yes son?”
“I’ve decided I’m going to be a Viking fan and I would like this jersey for my birthday”.
The mother is outraged at this, and he promptly gets another whack up side the head and says, “Go talk to your father!” Off he goes with the Purple jersey in hand and finds his father.
    “Dad?”
“Yes son?” “I’ve decided I’m going to be a Viking fan and I would like this jersey for my birthday”.

The Vikes don’t need much to play better then the Bears. Ironically, the division title might well be decided by the Pack; obviously if they lose to Chicago it is over for Minnesota. My hunch is the Bears are headed for a second half like the Packers first, and the Vikes will win the division..
