    I have posted previously about the Jake Beckstrom benefit that is coming up on Nov. 20th. 2-6 pm at the Medina Ballroom.

    I just received the new prize and auction item list and it is up over 1400 outdoor items that will be given away, raffled or auctioned. And there is more great items pouring in daily.

    Most us us will probably never see the likes of this event again in our lifetimes. The generosity of the outdoor industry for this event has been spectacular and truly overwhelming.

    This is a chance for you to help out with wonderful cause and probably pickup some great outdoor gear at a great price for yourself.

    Just as one example there will be fishing trips with Al Lindner, Gary Roach, Larry Dahlberg, Babe Winkleman, Ted Takasaki (includes autographed St Croix/Pflueger combo and $100 Lindy tackle pack), Johhny Candle, Steve DeZurik, Jon Thelen, Bill Plantan, Ray Gildow, Steve Carney, Ron Hunter, Karen Savik, George Cochrane(on your choice of Minnetonka or Mille Lacs), and thats just a partial list. Spend a day on the water with anyone of these pros and you will be a better angler for it.

    There will be plenty items for the wife and the kids as well. Food, drink, games so bring the whole family and make a day of it and help out a great cause.

    Who is Jake Beckstrom and why is there a benefit for him?

    A teenager who dove in the shallow end of the pool and is now a quadrapaligic. This benefit is to cover some of the huge bills incurred by his family. It is a worthwhile cause…too bad it is 120+ miles from my home.

    In addition to the list of over 1400 items that I posted last week we received over 1200 fishing items this week from Pure Fishing alone. This was a palletized load of 900 lbs of rods, reels and tackle. Our goal is to have all of these items find a new home tomorrow.
