Are you still under factory warranty??? If so I would suggest letting the dealer do it for the first couple years so you don’t run into issues with the warranty. You doing it gives the company a loop hole to say it was your fault if something goes wrong.
I don’t see Yamaha doing this, they have been good to me…but better safe than sorry.

I have a 115 and T8 as well…and here is what the dealer told me to do last weekend..which is now done. I doped a fresh gallon of gas with 1 pint of sea foam, several ounces of stabil and half a can of fogging oil. After starting both engines from the boat tank, (with water connected), I stopped them, pulled the hoses off the side of the boat and stuck them into this gallon of “winterizing” mixture. I let both engines run for at least 30 minutes sucking this gas. Eventually I could see some smoke from the T8 when I revved it up and the same for the 115. I stopped them, replaced the fuel lines to the boat and proceeded to change oil on both motors (used Yamaha filter and Yamaha 4M 10W30. The 115 takes 159 ounces or about 5 quarts. I used an air compressor to blow out the flush line which also blew out the water from the fuel cooler rail. After filleach engine with fresh oil, I changed lower unit grease, polished the outside off and tucked them away. It was easy and relatively fast to do. Since I am also from Rochester, you already know the local Yamaha dealer I got this advice from.
