Looking to buy a new 25hp 4-stroke tiller outboard to place on a Lund SSV16. I know several factors can affect speed but will the 25hp 4-strokes generally troll down to 1.5 mph? Any recommendations on brands?
My boss runs a 25 Yamaha on his 16′ lund it does great, a friend runs the same on his 16′ flatbottom for flatheads he loves it. Quiet and easy on gas yet plenty of power.
My 25honda will troll down pretty good. Getting to that speed should not be a problem. Much slower and you might need to do something to create some drag. Dropping the front trolling motor, drift sock or such. My honda has been flaw less. Yamaha is suposed to be good also. Check out Pinewoodsports.com if your looking for a deal.
