    Nice looking pup.

Are you going to name him “Tice” or “Daunte”?

Thanks guys and gals.. My other Springer has taken him in pretty well. He thinks he is a new papa..

Jack, We named him Paavo. Its a common Finnish dog name. I didnt choose any Viking related names, I dont wont him to get beat up on the playground.

Based on the subject line I was expecting a new baby, but this is even better. Congrats. The only bad thing is that you will have to take away hunting time this season to give some training. Good luck

They are flushers. But some do point, my current dog points and so does the pup.

All right I will start collecting them in the freezer for you and give you a holler when I got some. I just gave my neighbor my last four wings.

I saw a Yellow lab do that. He sat in the pick up while the guy snoozed . A tip up went up and the dog went bezerk. The dog went running to the hole and just stood and barked until the guy came. It was un real. I watched him do it about 6 times one day

My current dog takes fish from outside of peoples ice shacks when they leave them on the ice.

GREAT DOGS. SOMETIMES SMARTER THAN THE MASTER (DOESN’T TAKE MUCH)
ASPEN, 8YRS OLD, NOT REALLY A FLUSHER, NOT REALLY A POINTER, MORE LIKE A SNEAKER (YRS OF CHASING TREE RATS IN THE BACK YARD )

I would agree with that Garvi. Did they ever get a hold of any tree rats? My 6 year old has gotten two..

Mine has gotten 2 tree rats with a few near misses that he has tumbled and rolled on the ground with. He has gotten 2 wood chucks also. Not sure how he does that. They have some teeth and claws on them.

Oh yeah, there is no sneak in his game plan, it is an all out mad bull rush as soon as the deck door opens.

SHE HASN’T GOTTIN ANY YET, A LOT OF CLOSE CALLS, RABBITS ON THE OTHER HAND SHE HAS FOUR (THE ONES THAT MISS THE HOLE IN THE CHAIN LINK) IF THE TREE RAT GOES IN A TREE WITHIN THE FENCE SHE WILL LAY DOWN AND WAIT THEM OUT, WHEN THAT SQUIRREL IS COMING DOWN THE TREE SHE IS JUST QUIVERRING, MOST THE TIME WHEN THEY HIT THE GROUND THEY ARE ON A BEE LINE FOR THE FENCE AND MAKE IT WITH HER RIGHT ON THERE TAIL, I CAN’T BELIVE SHE CAN STOP BEFORE SHE HITS THE FENCE.

    FUN TO WATCH

It just so happens that the new pup is from the same bloodline as my 6 year old. My 6 year old is having a hard time. Hes protesting the new pup. He pulled a hunger strike on us yesterday. Maybe some Prozac will help.. He will adjust, it will just take some time. When he realizes he has a fulltime playmate, he will be happy.
