Well, not as if half the guys on the feild aren’t, but IMO, If we loose this game and the next one. Its time to let Rodgers and the rest of those on the bench play. Let Brett Start each game for the rest of the season for his streak, run the first series or even first quarter, then put in the back ups. Find out who can play and who can’t and play for Draft picks!
Our line is rought with injuries and another reciever out. Lets see what kinda talent we have riding the pine. Lets get Rodgers some game time and maybe we can get the 1st pick next year! I don’t mind rebuilding if they woudl do it smartly.

So basically give up? Concede that you plan on losing? I say fire Sherman, promote Bates, put Rossley back to calling plays and get some wins generated. This coach has no passion, how can his players?

I cant believe any Packers fan can say pull Favre and let Rodgers play.

I am a realist. We have lost 4 games. If we win Half of the remaining games, we end up 6-10. Do you really think we can “Turn it around” and win the remaining 12? 10 of 12? Its like baseball. Sometimes when its a close game, ytou gotta lay down that sacrificial bunt to advance the runner. If they loose 1 more of the next 2. Its time to start playing the guys who are “Back-ups” and reset the sights on getting better draft picks not worrying about winning a division thats probably gonna be won with a 9-7 or 8-8 record and loose in the first round of the playoffs. Bret Still has tons of talent and desire left. Its hard to soar with the eagles when you are surrounded by turkeys.

While this season isn’t last season, don’t forget the pack started 1-4 last year and finished out 9-2 in their last 10 games.

I’m just saying it can be done, but I don’t think it will happen again this year.

with an o-line as porous as the Pack it would be suicide to put a rookie qb in that situation
If he is the “future” let him ride the pine this year and learn from a future Hall of Famer.
Last night was the first time in 10 years when I didn’t watch the whole game. too painful

SteveO – sounds like you missed a heck of a come back by the Pack. Being a Viking fan, I am glad they lost. I agree with Slop Bass, you guys can’t give up on Favre yet, he can turn things around. I have not given up on Tice, Daunte, and company, it’s a long season, and it’s too early to throw the towel in.

I CAN SEE THAT THIS WAS WRITTEN BEFORE THE END OF THE GAME, BUT PROMOTE BATE’S ??? IT’S HIS D THAT LETS TEAMS DRIVE RIGHT DOWN THE FIELD, IN THE FIRST HALF THIS D LOOKED LIKE A BEE HIVE RUNNING AROUND LIKE NO ONE KNEW WHERE THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO BE. JUST BECAUSE SHERMAN DOSENT SHOW PASSION DOESN’T MEAN HE DOSENT HAVE ANY, IT’S NOT HIS FAULT HE HAS A BUNCH OF GUYS THAT WOULDN’T EVEN START FOR MOST TEAMS, BY THE WAY LOOK AT HIS RECORD, IT IS A WINNING RECORD.. BETTER HIM THAN TICE.

It is too his fault that the players wouldn’t start for most other teams. Up until this year he was not only the coach, but also the GM. He conducted the last 4 drafts prior to this year and ultimately made the final decision on draft picks and free agent signings. Ted Thompson is now in control of this. It remains to be seen if he is any better than Sherman.

I’m still a die hard Pack fan. So at 0-4 is it too early to fire a head coach? Not in my opinion. This isnt a coach who is taking over a dismal team that was coached by someone else. This is a coach who as GM and head coach built this team to where it is now! He has riden this horse as far as it can go – time to move on!

I am sure Barry ALverez would rather move a couple hours north than 5 hours northwest. Besides, Red and Green kinda put you in a Christmass mood. Purple is kinda, well, Gay.

I noticed that also. I decided to let it pass as some Pack fans need wins however they can get them including ‘funny’ math.

I think as Packer fans we have become spoiled. I think Sherman is a great coach. Sometimes the injury bug gets the best of a team. We have lost our best wide out, tight end, center, fullback, and you can’t expect to win with that. Add to that recipe a lot of young inexperienced people and we will have losses. Tauscher had an awesome pancake block on one play. I saw some inspired play from the d line and linebackers. Still the pack is only one win out of first place. It sucks to lose but it builds leadership and character. I did also see Bret chew the but off one of his teammates in public. Never seen that before.

I AGREE SHERMAN CAN STAY, BESIDES WHO ELSE IS OUT THERE, (JUST ASK THE VIKS) SHERMAN, I SAW WAS CALLING THE PLAYS IN THE SECOND HALF WHEN THEY WERE MOVING THE BALL AND THE DEFENSE WOKE UP IN THAT HALF ALSO. I DON’T KNOW WHAT THEY SAY DURING HALF TIME, THEY SHOULD SAY IT BEFORE THE GAME AND MAYBE WE COULD BE AHEAD IN A GAME ONCE, ALL THEY HAVE TO DO IS WIN THE DIVISON AND WE ARE IN THE PLAYOFFS AND AFTER THAT YOUR WIN/LOSS GOES OUT THE WINDOW AND IT’S ONE GAME AT A TIME.

The Pack lost there lst three games by only 6 points and the division sucks. Guess I am not quite ready to give up, albeit they have so many injuries.

They are what they are. Look at it this way. Win Sunday and we are 1-4, get a bye week and then the Vike’s. there’s a real good chance we will 2-4 going into the Cincy game. I’d be more disillusioned if I was a Vike’s fan. Look at the talent they spent for in the offseason. They are absolutely getting blown out of games. So much so they are bringing in “consultants” to help them figure it out. They were picked to finish 1st in the NFC N and contend for a SuperBowl title. The Pack is still only a game out where the cream of the crop in our div. is the Bears and Lions having each just one win.
