Anyone besides me willing to admit we aren’t very good this year? I think 8-8 will be a good season. I actually hope we go below .500. We need the draft picks. We have been picking from the top of the food chain for so long. I can stomach a “rebuilding” year or two as long as we improve.
Lets face it. Bret can’t play forever. I just want him to get over 1400 yards through the remainder of the season.

Hoping for 9-7 and another division title, but this one today hurt a bit. I am a bit old and often think that if Brett Farve had the brains of Bart Starr they would win an extra 2 or so games a year.

Actually, If we can’t get into Championship form. By this I mean dominating form like 1996, then I would just as soon see the Vikes win the division and then loose in the playoffs as always. That way they get to pick like 30th in the Draft.
As far as Brets playcalling, what you say is true, then again if Bart Star had Brets arm we would of won ALOT more games back “in the day”.

I also learned something when I was in the Navy. “If grasshoppers carried guns, the birds wouln’t screw with them as much.”

A quick note. Back in the day of Lombardi/Starr we did. Three World Championsips in a row. Going from 1959’s record of 1-11 to a Championship Game in 1960 against the Eagles which was the only championship game Starr and the Pack lost (17-14, 297 passes without an interception, etc., etc, etc.

Told you I was an old guy. Favre is great, but now and then I just wish he would think a bit more.

Love your saying about the Navy; kinda relates to my shooting geese with buchshot from a 22 to keep them from destroying my yard.

My take on the Pack is that 8-8 is most probably a pipe dream, (as in Randy Moss’s!) And as for the Vikes, Culpepper is obviously Daunted!

Take the Grand kids fishing on Sunday—heck with the football.. You will be the “HERO” to the kids, not some dope head rich ball player…

In my opinion, Brett Favre is still one of the best QB’s and plays that way. But one man can not win a game no matter how hard he tries. We (Packers) have very few players who are willing to play that little extra bit harder? No offense, no defense and we are in trouble! What filets my carp the most is the head coach with no passion, none! Even Tom Landry showed emotion. Sherman does nothing, no butt chewings, no yipeekayeahs, no rants and raves, no pats on the back…cmon, how can you get fired up to play when your coach is quaalude man?

I am sad to say this, living most of my life in Wisconsin, but I think the pack will be lucky if they win five games this year. Unless someone steps up on that defense, I will be more than happy spending all my Sundays on the water, or doing anything else, as far as that goes, than watching such a poor display of defense.

Been a while since I have seen such unwatchable football from the Pack. There isn’t one leader on defense and our backs keep letting their man get behind them. The pack needs to improve big time or they won’t win a game this year. I remember I used to hunt and fish a lot on weekends. I am going to get back to that.

Maybe the Vikes and Pack will both be 0-5 when they meet at Metrodome.. That should be fun..

It should be easy to get a ticket this year, that is if you really want to go!

Yep, looking forward to spending my time in a stand and on the ice this year. No reason to sit around watching the Pack. Even if they turn it around (they won’t), they are still a poor team. Feel sorry for Favre that the team hasn’t kept talent around him.
