    Hey Guys,

I am headed up to Lake Vermillion on 9-21 for a long weekend and am wondering If anyone has any hot spots/tips for the fall walleyes up there? I’ll be staying on the south east side (close to Fortune Bay ). I have been up there the last few years in the Fall but have not dialed in the ‘eyes. Any thoughts are welcome.

    Thanks

If you are talking Lake Vermilion, you need to get the ‘L’ out of there! All kidding aside, it is one ‘L’ of a lake!

I’d look to the main basin structure. Pull spinners/crawlers on bottom bouncers in 15-25 FOW around mid lake islands. Try Potato, Taylor, Stoncih and Spider for starters. Hammered silver and gold blades size #4.

Good Luck and let us know how ya do,

Hey Fellas, Just got back from the lake. I was up there Thurs-Sunday (Today). We did well, caught about 25 eyes, however half of em were to small (in that 10″ to 12″ range)

Kept a bunch of real nice eaters though – (14-15 inch) and had a few over 18″.

We had success with the #5 Shad Raps (perch and fire tiger) after dark. Also jigged a bunch in 10 FOW and found fish that way as well.

    Thanks for the tips.
