You can do it by debit card on the link if you want…

The Credit Card link works slick and is secure. It will also give you a printable page to save for tax time.

Ron, sure stop in–PM me if you need directions. Only if you feel you want to, every dollar helps. Sure, checks are still welcome if anyone still wants to send them. The walk is the 17th, I will hand in money then so will have to have by Friday the 16th as some of us walkers are hoteling it before the walk. Again, THANKS EVERYONE for your generosity

Done. At this time our nation’s giving power will be stretched. Helping to find a cure for ALS is a cause that deserves a portion of what we can give.

I’d like to thank everyone who frequents the IDA site that contributed to the Walk For the Cure of ALS. Your donations were part of over $4,000 raised by our team. (Thanks to Denise and all the gals)

The walk raised over $55,000 for the ALS society. There were over 400 people that attended the walk. The previous walk in St. Cloud drew 250 people so we had an excellent turnout.

I’ve developed many friendships from this website and hope to continue to meet more of you in the future to thank you personally. From fishing all over the country I’ve always been amazed at how many really cool people I’ve encountered and the friendships I’ve developed through this sport. I’ve met some truly special people who’ve touched my life making me a better person for it.

I cannot tell you how much we/I appreciate your generosity and support as I continue to live with this disease. Hopefully my battle will be a long slow one. The disease affects every person differently and with varying progression rates. In my case currently my speech is dwindling as my throat, tongue and mouth slowly become paralyzed. I’ve lost about %50 of the strength in my upper body with my hands, arms and shoulders being affected the most. Fatigue is a problem but I’m trying to learn to pace myself and if you know me, that’s a tough one to come to grips with. The disease will slowly inhibit me from doing the simplest of things (buttoning my pants comes to mind as I struggle every morning with this currently) Cutting my own food, tying my shoes, putting change in my pocket all have become increasingly difficult as I lose my hand strength. The fingers do not have much strength left in them and my coordination suffers when using them for any length of time. Prolonged use also results in severe cramping of all motor muscles.

This has been happening slowly over the last two years and hopefully will take a great many more before I’m totally incapacitated. I’ve got places to go, people to see and fish to catch!

I have learned an important lesson from this and that is to take nothing for granted and that time is precious and limited. Up to the point of diagnosis I felt somewhat invincible and looked forward to growing old with my wife, family and friends. Now I cherish every moment I can spend with them.

Again thank you all for your kindness and support.

    Tim + Denise

    A final note:
Live every moment like it could be the last and remember to tell the people close to you that you love them!
