They’re working here for me. Anyone else having issues?
What operating system are you running?
August 24, 2005 at 8:20 pm #380086Windows XP with service pack 2.
Also, Internet Explorer 6.0 or whatever is newest.
August 24, 2005 at 8:20 pm #380088What operating system are you running? They work just dandy for me here. I’ll need some info if I’m going to even have a chance at diagnosing the issue.
August 24, 2005 at 8:22 pm #380089I run XP and a IE popup blocker. With the blocker on I get the dropdowns but can’t link to them, if I turn off the blocker they work.

August 24, 2005 at 8:23 pm #380090Me too. I have no idea what to tell you since they work perfectly for me. I’ll wrap my head around it and see what I can come up with. My first thought is your java script engine is toast and needs to be reinstalled but that’s just an off-hand guess.

August 24, 2005 at 8:24 pm #380092Interesting. My blocker is on and they work for me. But if that’s what it takes to get them to work then there’s the fix. Wow… that was easy… lol

August 24, 2005 at 8:28 pm #380093To turn off the pop up blocker for a specific site go to your toolbar and click on “tools” and then “pop-up blocker.” Next click “pop up blocker settings.” Add in-depthangling.com as an allowed site and things should be working again for you.
August 24, 2005 at 8:30 pm #380094I’ve noticed that on some things i have to exit my firewall for some advertised links too work, don’t know
August 24, 2005 at 8:31 pm #380095I tried that. Pop-up blocker off, also with IDA in the allowed list. No dice. The menus worked when I first joined the site, which was not long ago.
If this gives any more clue to what is going on, I also get no response when I right click the mouse on any area of the page, including the links and pics.
Me= Java script engine “totallycluelessman”
This only happens on this site.
I just noticed, when I place my cursor on one of the drop down menu links, my IE shows something in the lower left corner. It says “javascript:void(0);”
August 24, 2005 at 8:38 pm #380099The right click is intentionally disabled. Your menu issue and the right click feature wouldn’t be related. If they used to work for you and now they don’t the issue is on your end… since the menu hasn’t been changed in ages.
Not sure what else to tell you to help without being there to dig through your pc. The one thing I would suggest (if you don’t have auto-updates turned on already) is to go to the microsoft website and check for any needed software updates your pc might need.
http://www.microsoft.com/security/default.mspx
Click on “microsoft update” located top-right in the blue side bar. Scan your pc for needed updates and install the ones listed as a high priority or critical. Restart your pc and see if that helps.

August 25, 2005 at 2:50 pm #380238As long as we’re complaining about the pull down menus ……They’ve never worked right for me.
Whenever I even drag my cursor over one of them, my screen goes into super wide mode (similar looking to the time someone made a post with all the !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! in the title ).
any clue to what that would be James??? I have a Mac if that would make a difference?
August 25, 2005 at 2:54 pm #380241If you are running Java Sun, try disabling it in Advanced Options.
Tools – Options – Advanced Tab
Otherwise, try reinstalling Internet Explorer 6 SP1

August 25, 2005 at 3:35 pm #380257Do you think if I hit the screen really, really hard a bunch of times with a closed right fist, that might help something???
Becasue I could if you think it would help
August 25, 2005 at 3:36 pm #380259I’ve seen you in short sleeved shirts… With those pipe cleaners of yours I’m not sure you could hit it all that hard.
August 25, 2005 at 3:52 pm #380267And I’m here all week. Shows at 5 and 9. Don’t forget to tip your waitress.
