Robbery at Cash Advance

So I’m going to lunch today at Culvers on the south side of La Crosse. I get out of my car and this girl was on her phone outside the restaraunt just screaming at someone about her wedding tomorrow. Well, I walked by her hoping she’s not acting like that at her wedding or I feel sorry for the guy that is marrying her.

Anyways, as I start to open the door to go inside Culvers, I hear, “HEY YOU! GET ON THE GROUND!” I stop and turn to look across Mormon Coulee Rd. and there is a big guy walking out of Cash Advance with a orange mask on holding a black duffle bag. The owner is chasing him as the guy casually walks out just screaming for help. Another bystander and I start to make my way over to them to help the owner out. The robber notices us coming and throws the bag in the dumpster as he walks by and gets on the ground in the South Lanes parking lot. The cops were called already and all was okay when they showed up.

The funny thing was, the news crew was there just seconds after the cops came. How does that work?

It should be all over the news tonight, so if you’re in the La Crosse area, watch channel 19 news tonight and you may see me!

That was mighty brave of you to go help out the store owner
Did the robber have a gun?

My question is, how did the guy rob the place w/o any weapons on him? I didn’t see the cops pull anything off him?

He must’ve done the ole “I’ve got a gun in my pocket trick”.

I hope the owner planted his size 12 foot into the robbers ribs while he was laying in the parking lot.

In answer to your ? about news crew, usually they monitor police radio on a scanner, and when dispatched, they run.

He was tempted to…trust me! The robber weighed about 300lbs…he was no small boy. The kid didn’t look very old though.

You are a very brave soul. But sometimes we do things by instinct.
Lucky he didn’t have a gun and start shooting.

This is why we should be allowed to have a concealed cary permit in Wisconsin!
