They both must be pretty new…are the run/owned by the same person/group?

Thanks guys. I’ve actually been on the site a fairly long time, just one of those “lurkers” who reads everything and never posts! By far this is the best site for my favorite body of water, though (Pool 4).

I don’t know how long http://www.fishing-logs.com has been up, but I know http://www.fishermanslog.com has been up since June.

    I have used both.

The main difference I see in the actual logs is that fishing-log.com is what I would call a “single page” log. It’s simple without a lot of features, but fish can be entered very quickly. fishermanslog.com has a lot more features, but it’s a “multi-page” log.

Does anyone know how much it costs to register on either site? I can’t find any info on that, and I would like to know before I start typing any personal info on it. Seems like a great idea to me! Thanks for the information.

    Jason,

fishermanslog.com is free all you have to do is have a e-mail address and register and they will send you a confirmation with your username and password.

Not sure about the other one though. Never used it.

Jason, they are both free (unless something has changed I don’t know about).

    Howdy guys (and gals),

I’m the owner of fishing-logs.com and saw this thread from my log files so I wanted to stop in and provide some info.

The site at http://www.fishing-logs.com is “very new” and free. I migrated the software from another site I operate where the initial code was developed and put in a bunch of enhancements. I welcome feedback and will consider all enhancements suggested. Reviewing our home page will describe the many benefits our software provides. It does have some cool features that makes it unique and as said it’s very straight forward.

This is the my first time at this site which looks very good. I’ve bookmarked it and will be back.

    Rock On!

Hi panfish, thanks for posting. What do you consider the difference to be between the two?

Then maybe we could get someone from http://www.fishermanslog.com to come on post what they think?

Would be really interesting to see the two different perspectives.

    Thanks
