I hope everyone purchased their licences earlier. As of today the license increase takes effect. It’s kind of unusual for them to do it in the middle of the license year though. Deer licenses only increased though from 20 to 24 dollars.
A very small price to pay to enjoy Wisconsin’s water and or hunting land. There hasn’t been an increase in quite a few years. I hope they use the money wisely.
The deer license hasn’t been increased for a quite a few years but the other licenses have. In fact, in the last five years patron licenses have went up 50%. They are now $165.00.
This is the first time I can remember when there’s been an increase during the license year. Thats the part I don’t like, some people are paying more than others to hunt or fish the same season. I thought the increases should have been enacted at the beginning of the 2006 season.
On a side note, Hunter’s Choice and Fall turkey app. deadlines are Aug. 1st for WI.
