Everts Resort

The EyeJacker and I decided to take a ride South to Hager City Sunday afternoon to locate Everts Resort before the GTG next Saturday. We found it with little trouble, neatly nestled into the Wisconsin riverside, with a great sandy shoreline, 3 boat ramps and a nice dock. Truly a delightful setting! Imagine my surprise when I discovered it is only 39 miles from our door. The trip took less than an hour even with a highway buzzing with traffic (motorcycles, bicycles, cars and trucks).
We had a chance to meet and visit a short while with Dean, the manager of Everts, a very courteous and personable host. He graciously interrupted his busy day to show us through Cabin #7, our quarters for Saturday night (also known by another name, which I discretely choose not to mention again ). We both were pleasantly surprised and the EyeJacker paid the rental fee, so barring an act of God, we will attend our first GTG. Thanks Dean for taking the time to show us around! I am so looking forward to Saturday! The EyeJacker has been acting like he discovered Gold ever since returning home! My assessment is, he did indeed!

“It’s not the size or beauty of a cabin…rather what you make of it!”…or something like that. You’ll enjoy the resort i’m sure. I believe “Honeymoon suite” is correct Brian…..You and your cat friends just stay away from there!

I Da’ it looks like I’ll be delayed and not get there ’til very early Sunday morning. Work called and is sending me out of town! I’ll sleep in the car when I get there so as not to wake you!

“Upper eighties , what in the world are you talking about? The only thing that may be in the upper eighties is your I.Q. and that would only be on a very good day indeed!

Sorry I Da’, “Upper Eighties ” was not in reference to your age, but rather the temperature forecast for Saturday night!

You could have one of mine Cris . But after 25+ years of riding a rigid frame and alittle bit of Alcohol, yours are probable in better shape.

Thanks for the clarification, would not want to create the impression I am an octogenarian loooooooooooong before my time. You seem to be having a “good day”….are you listening to classical music?

No, I am not listening to classical music. I am in the midst of a do-it-yourself medical procedure looking for a kidney for Eye-Guide. I already have made the 6 inch incision between the 4th and 5th abdominal muscles. My problem is I don’t know what a kidney looks like. Guess I’ll just have to drink a lot of water and wait ’til nature calls!

That is noble of you EJ. Don’t forget to wash the butter knife and put it back in the drawer when you are finished!

EJ, you can see your abdominal muscles? Mine got covered up years ago. There will be plenty of fillet knives at the GTG to help you out on Sat night, especially if that honeymoon suite gets noisy on Friday night. Of course we don’t know anatomy so good. Chris, get ready. We may have something for you but not sure what it might be. Are you missing anything else?

Thanks Putz for the fillet knife offer! I am afraid to tell I Da’ that I used her favorite pizza cutter and not a butter knife! Hey Putz can you sew? Oh, by the way, if the honeymoon suite gets rowdy Friday night its probably just Brian fantasizing over the catfish ceiling! We won’t be down there until Saturday!

Putz, I am doing this procedure in front of I Da’s dressing room mirror! You know how the mirror reverses everything….Just figured out why my back is bleeding. Got that fixed, just turned the mirror around! Next, a frontal lobotomy, however, may wait ’til tomorrow…. not used to standing this long!!

EJ, you seriuosly need to think about getting back to your beloved VerHalla on Lake Vermilion! Please hold off on your lobotomy until then. Remember, nature abhors a perfect vacuum and so do I!
