After a fishing outing with my wife and 4 year old daughter, my wife is convinced we need a bigger boat….it breaks my heart . I’m looking at a 99 1750 fishhawk with a 115 Johnson. Not sure what it has for extras, but can anyone give me a ballpark figure as to what a guy could expect to pay(or better yet should pay)for a rig like this. Any help would be appreciated.

Here is a 2003 that sold for around $18500 2003 ALUM. TRNY PRO 175 W/ 90 YAMI I realize that this is newer and has a 90 not a 115 but it might give you and idea of how good of a deal the one you are looking at is. Also give Destry Foyte a shout he can give you a real good idea what it is worth.

My advice is to keep that gal. She sounds very sensable and level headed.

Depending on condition I would guess between $7500 and $9000. More towards the $7500.

    PM,

I Googled other 99’s and found them anywhere from 9-14K. Call a loan officer at your bank and they can look up an approximate value on the boat and motor (similar to using the NADA book for used cars).

    Good luck with the search!

I’m in the process of getting rid of my ’98 Smokercraft 175 Ultima with a 115 Merc. From what I’ve seen and been told, retail on it is around $10,000. Going by the NADA guide doesn’t help, the motor prices are way too low according to the salesman I am dealing with. Hard to believe he’d say that! Interested in mine?

I would have to agree with mike W, but I was hoping that she could come down and help my wife with the boat issue.

Trade in the boat —– but never lose track of the wife–she has to be a winner.. good luck dealing.

I have a Fish Hawk and love the boat. My only suggestion is if you plan on keeping the thing for awhile try and find either a rig with a four stroke engine or consider an E-TEC. The latter 90HP is not as expensive as some think and unless you have 3-4 more kids the motor should last a lifetime.

Thanks, I can probably get it for around $9000, so it sounds pretty reasonable.
