I have a berkely #20 scale, the small black one. It works pretty good and ive tested it to be pretty accurate I thought it was a good deal.

I’ve had a Rapala 50# for about a year now. 30$ and so far so good! It says its waterproof but when it isn’t in use its in a drylock.

I also have the Rapala 50#. I love it. I have had mine for 4 years and works just as if it was new.

I know I need something. Yesterday’s 27″ walleye to my eyes said 9# but my heart said 5# I think it was somewhere between. Is there a smaller model than 50#? Since I left Alaska fish in these parts don’t run that big. I’d think 20# would be plenty.

20 probably would be enough. I however decided to get the 50 because I have caught muskie over 20. And you never know when you may want to put a bigger fish on there. I have even put carp on mine that are over 20 just to see what the actually weight was. Also maybe a cat over 20. So I would go with the 50 because you just never know when a big surprise will be at the end of your line.

    Just my 2 cents

edit- forgot to mention I have the rapala and it works good. Though on thing that is bad those fish just arent quite as big once they are weighed lol

Rapala 50#, works well and is right on the cashews. I too considered the 20# but there are bigger fish and ya just never know.

I have the rapala #25, the boga grip type Sure looks nice, I just put the battery in it yesterday, I wish I had been able to find the batteries before I went fishing, it would’ve been nice to see how much those grass carp weighed yesterday. I figure #25 is going to be able to give me the weights on 99+% of the fish I catch,

Good decision. I had a 20 and then caught a few big mudcats and a carp or so over that so switched to the fifty.
The next thing that happened was I caught a Musky over 20 and a Northern at 23 lbs on Lac Suel a few years ago. Glad I switched to the 50LB. I also test it using water softener salt 40LB bags, anchors, my son’s weights, etc. Bottom line is the Rap has been accurate.

I have a Normark 10lb. although I wished I’d bought the 50lb one. Works very well with no moisture problems..

I have the Berkley digital one and really like it. I bought it years ago so am not sure about the weight but I think its like 25 or 27 lbs.
    Thanks, Bill

My Fathers Day gift was a new Rapala 50# scale. Now I need to find the big fish. Tried to weigh the cat but couldn’t get the hook thru the lip. And she squirms too much.
