acc. switch on my boat

    ANy idea why my am/fm/cd player will only work when my acc switch is turned on on my boat. I could swear that last year it would work when my motor was running and when I turned the motor off i could turn on the acc switch to operate the radio. Now i have to have teh acc. turned on any time i want the radio on.

    You might have a jumper wire from acc. switch to ignition to have your radio work both ways, so maybe you have a wire that came off the ign. switch and it is only powered thru the acc. switch. That’s my best guess.

    is it normal to only have the radio work when the acc switch is in the on position. Even when the engine is running.
