Been following you guy’s posts and been intrigued by this ringworm that you use for walleyes. Well…I finally tried it and am now catching walleyes on plastics REGULARLY ! Thanks. Beats having to tote nightcrawlers all over the place. Any more suggestions on how you guys like to fish the ringworm. I cast and retrieve slowly. Is there a better technique ?

I don’t know if better is the correct term, but you may also want to try hopping them back at times. Also, in the colder monther people virtical jig them and hold them perfectly still.

Casting a light jig across or up current, then tightlining it down stream, letting the jig tick from time to time is also a great presentation. If your jig hangs up often, go to a lighter jig. Conversely, if it is not ticking occasionally, go a size heavier. This works very well on sand points, in front of wingdams, and on clam beds.
If I see a lot of fish on the electronics while trolling a certain area, I like to stop the troll, anchor, and pitch ringworms like this to work the area good. It can pay off big time!
