Taking the “cook” out on her birthday…

Well, I screwed up…I thought the better half’s birthday was last Friday…and I had everything planned…I was going fishing…

Turns out that it’s he Big Day tomorrow, Thursday. Since it’s her turn to cook, I thought we would do something out of the ordanary….yup, you guessed it…

I’m taking her to the seafood buffet at Treasure Island! Nothing but the best for my little Misus!
One thing that might be a problem is that she doesn’t like seafood…but I do! And since she will be done eating her chicken and mashed potatoes early…I’m hoping that she will help me crack those crab legs for me. She’s quite a gal, my wife is.

So, If anyone is in the area stop in and tell her Happy 19th Birthday and how good her chicken wings looked last night. Heck, she might invite you over the next time I allow her to cook with heat un supervised.

We should be arriving around 6 to 6:30 pm and the buffet is (last time I checked) $17.95 ea…not counting any gambling you do on the way in.

I’ll be dressed up for the special occasion with my “Sunday going to meeting” IDA hat on.

    PS…thank goodness for vcrs!

Brian, say happy b-day to her from me. Hope to meet her some day. If you guys would have come to the mini GTG last month, our wives could have compared notes. Hmmm, maybe not a good idea.

Hey Bud, cheerish that little wife of yours and you will be able to keep her. Maybe even take her to ”her” favorite place to eat. [hint hint] Make her feel special and you both will have many many more Birthdays together.
    Thanks, Bill

    HAppy Birthday Misus Briank!
Did the old man get you anything for your birthday? (maybe a cook book!)
I suppose being that she just turned 19, she still has small enough fingers to dig in those crab legs for you!
Good things she 19, she’s still young and strong enough to push you around in your wheelchair!

Mrs K. we haven’t heard of the reciprocal gift for a certain 4 wheeler yet. I think maybe he’s got to pony up or you may have to remember to light the grill more often while he’s out fishing. As the official sponsor of… well shall we say a truly unique individual, you deserve the very best. Happy B-day , and a tennis ball will strengthen the grip for those crab legs

Emover…you just reminded me… A number of years ago, Deb (my sponsor) was going to make something on the grill to have ready for me when I got home.

I guess I forgot to tell her to make sure the cover is off the gas grill before trying to light it!

She said the cover went up 2 or 3 inches! (it’s funny now)

Now that I think about it…I’m glad she made it this long…living with me.

Particularly since you’re not far from pushing Herb and Putz in the OF category. Amazing how you managed to have such a young and caring sponsor. Happy Birhtyday Deb

Just getting ready to leave…and I thought I would show this thread to my wife…soo..

    figured I better come clean…

She started the wings and I turned up the heat…yes, it ’twas I that smoked them.

And as the truth starts to roll out…I have never met better wife, mother or person than her.

    Love ya Deb!

I’m looking forward to the next 25 years together!

    ps…wanna go fishing?

    Mrs. Briank,

    Happy birthday.
I do not know you or your husband but I have to say you must be a terrific lady. Anyone that lets him get away with all the things that he does, has to be great. Just please tell us that you get your shots in too.

    Brian,

Please adjust the coloring of your pics. Your Packer jersey appears to be White and Purple…..
