Well, I am back in town to report how my musky trip went and that I did in fact get one . She was a beauty too . Got her today at 10:45a.m. on Pewaukee Lake. She took a sucker we were soaking in about 9 feet of water. 38 incher she was. We had awesome weather – sunny with a high of 82 and a water temp of 57 degrees. We sent the day slow trolling suckers and casting. Had a couple other misses and a couple of follows but only one in the boat. She was released with not problems – she was very healthy looking.

Yes sir, this weekend was the Musky opener on inland lakes here in Wisconsin. We started about 10:00 a.m and at 10:45 – there she was, yes it is my first day musky fishing since the one I caught last Nov.

Nice fish and Nice picture there MG…BUT…you release her?

Now why did you go and do that? We’re going to need some bait for our catten adventure! Well, you’re musky was a little on the small side for a trophy cat…so I guess it’s ok.

    Nice color on that fish…

We’re building a new store in that town and I’m guessing it’s close to the lake….might have to take my light cat rod down there….

(gary’s going to shoot me for this…)

Very cool looking fish – congratulations!

Brian is right, though… those 35-45 inchers are the best eating.

Nice Fish ! I was bass fishing up on Bone Lake on Sat and had one swim under the boat that was easily pushing the 45 inch mark. Scared the crap out of me at first until I realized what it was.

My son is jealous, so I will have to remember to show him your Musky picture. We live just north of Milwaukee and had no action whatsoever on Random Lake.

Thanks everyone. Even though I am paying for it today because of all the casting we did – can hardly move my arms and sun burnt beyond belief – she was well worth it. I never thought I’d get another one so soon being the fish of 10,000 casts, but I did. Next trip back won’t be til Nov. now.
