So I had today (Sunday) on the calendar as an all day I’m going fishing and doing nothing else day. Saw the weather report yesterday and decided to play it by ear. Ended up not going at all
But on the bright side I got loads of Brownie points and I didn’t freeze my butt today. So for those of you who will be going fishing in the next week or so, I will not be getting out and the weather will be beautiful! Enjoy it while you can. Eventually I will schedule another trip and horrible weather will ensue.

My brownie point bank has been running a negative balance for some time now. Guess I should’ve stayed home yesterday too! I may need to take some lessons from you!

    Hey John!
I wasn’t happy about it at first. But I got to play some games with the family and visit with my in-laws. I stayed warm. I’m well rested. My wife is happy with me.

Not going isn’t the end of the world. Just makes you appreciate getting out even more when you do.

I have stored up so many brownie points that the wife has agreed that I may buy a new boat this summer as long as some qaulifications have been met. now I think that is good use of them, but then I will have to start all over from scratch, more than likely, I will never be in the positive numbers again, well not after i get the new rig.

    Hey Shane!
Believe me the boat isn’t as much fun if you don’t get to use it much. Then again I do have a 5 year old boat that is practically brand new. I figure 10 years from now I’ll be on the water so much I’ll probably develope gills.

Weekends in July should be good…Geez, summer isn’t even here and it’s planned to the hilt on Vermilion. Weeknights I imagine are tough. This working deal is highly over rated.

I agree, work is highly overrated. That is why I went casual again with my employment Gotta love having a spouse who makes good money!

I think a walleye/catfish outing in July might be just the ticket. And this year we will definetly hit the Rum again (the kind from Mille Lacs not Puerto Rico…. or possibly both) and chase the willys. In the meantime a hook-up is necessary some evening soon for you to get your muskie leaders. Thats less than a month away sir! Or are you planning on getting bit-off this year?
