Prop Repair – Any suggestions???

    I have a Mercury High 5 prop on my boat. I took the prop off the boat checking for fishing line. When I removed the prop, the hub came out of the prop? The hub itself is a plastic material and it is cracked.

    Does anybody know of any repairs/replacement parts – or – a local prop shop that could take a look at it in or near Apple Valley?

    Sounds like you need a new hub kit. Try Hoots marine in Rosemount.

    Many of the newer Mercury props have a removable hub to make it cheaper to replace a bad prop. Instead of buying a whole new assembly, you only need to replace the hub or the prop instead of both. Any Merc Dealer should have it.
