I thought I’d try some of these 6″ artifical crawlers on a 3way rig behind an inline spinner, but the worms don’t hang straight due to being bent in the package. Anybody have any ideas on how to straighten them out or keep them straight? Has anyone tried them behind a 3way with any luck? Any particular color work on the river for you?Good Fishn to ya!

Are you using the Gulp in the jar? The bag should hang straight with out problem. The jar you may have trouble with.

I use the jar stuff (quite successfully I must add!) for “chunking”. Often, I’d just add a chunk of crawler on a hook (sometimes with plastic too) for added scent and attraction. Instead of messing with the real deal, last summer I fished “worms” exclusively with GULP and did just as well, and often better, by pinching off a small chunk and placing it on a hook. I’d also recommend “bagged” worms for any harness/spinner rig set up.

Whatever you do, when you’re done fishing, take the GULP off!!! That stuff hardens like concrete and is VERY tough to scrape off once it has dried.

Thanks for the replys guys. I have the natural color and the pumpkin color. Was on the river monday and tried them out in a backwater area. Was marking lots of fish but couldn’t get anything to bite. They seemed like they were working pretty good but there is a slight bend in the tail from sitting slightly crunched in my tackle box. I don’t think I’ve given them a fair shot yet nothing seemed to work for me the other day.

In the summer I have always laid them on the boat deck in the heat/sun, but thats not an option now I guess. Trying heating them good in the house
