I have a 2005 125 merc. I would like to add a tilt and trim gauge but I am not sure of the wiring. By the throtle their are 3 wires that are not hooked to anything. I was wondering if their was a website I could go to that would have a wiring diagram. I have done some general searches on the net and have not had any luck. Thanks in advance for any help.

DP, I don’t know of a website…but I was checking into this a year or so ago. You’re best bet is to check with a dealer. Or edit the subject of your post to something like… “tilt trim question for merc”.

That might help you get a better response.

I put a tilt and trim gauge onto a 115 hp Merc. All of the wiring comes from the motor to the gauge in the dash. You need to pick up a sending unit kit that will be specific for your motor, which will mount on the motor, and then it’s just a matter of running the wires from the motor to the gauge and hooking up the power. From what I remember, it was a pretty easy installation. The sending unit will come with all the instructions.
