Prayers from this family to theirs Jarrad….May 2, 2005 at 1:28 am #360579WOWWWWW!!!!
You guys/gals are truly amazing. It is unbelievable how people go out of there way to make a difference in people lives. The Evans still have a long road a head of them, but because of all those that supported them the road has gotten shorter. It’s sites like these that make a difference people lives. This site makes everyone feel like one big family. Thank you so much.
Just an update on them all.
Dawn, the mother, will probably be released the week. She will be wearing a back cast for another 7 months. She will not be able to any mothering. The doctor said she will not be able to lift or hold anything including her kids for the 7 months.
Hunter, Age 6, recovered from heart(torn Arota) surgery very well. They also found a bowel obstruction that the doctor repaired so he just started eating solids today.
Colin, Age 7, still is paralyzed from the waist down. Is recovery went well but has a long road a head of him with therapy. He went through a lot of tests but has no sensation feedback. He will get fit with a wheel chair this week. The family will also meet with the doctors tomorrow to find out what they need to do in the long term.
Rian, 4 year old, didn’t have any problems at the time but did find out later that she had a fractured collar bone that did break after playing with friends.
Rob, the father, has spent every night at the hospital sleeping aside of his family. He has been in good spirits and just thankful that his family is still together.
As for Richard Thompson(Hooked for Life). There are no words that can explain what you have done. Some day you will be rewarded from the man up above.
I have new respect from you Illinoians
Richard I will email you or send you PM.
Too any of those that still would like to donate to the cause you can do so by calling the Alliance Bank in Mondovi. The information is provided up above.

Thanks, BillMay 2, 2005 at 10:33 am #360624To Jarrad and everyone here at IDA,
Thank you for your kind words.
Family is the most important thing in life, and to see what has happened to the Evans family should be a reminder to everyone that life is fragile, and you should live every moment to it’s fullest.
It was just a blink of an eye ago that I myself suffered an injury that altered my families life for almost a year. Had it not been for the generosity of others at a time when my family needed it, I am not sure we would have made it through.
I pray my small offering will help the Evans family get through this in a time they need it the most.
