Just bought a replacement remote for my co-pilot Minn Kota and it refers to pushing in the “LEARN” button on the side to sync it up with my motor. I can’t find what they are referring to, anyone have this issue? The remotes are almost more trouble then they are worth. Any help appreciated!

The learn button is on the side of the co-pilot right above the o in Kota. You will need a screwdriver or something pointed to push it in.

Do not give up Terry, I have never installed one but I got to use one most of the day in one of the RCL Tounaments I fished last year and I loved it, once you get it working you will too!

Press and hold the learn button and reciever will emit a continuous sound.Press any button on remote and reciever will beep 4 times to confirm it has learned code.

I liked mine so much last year…I’m not taking out my foot pedal…this year.

Brian, I did the same thing last year. Until one day I couldn’t find where I had put my remote. I always left in the the same spot, and my back up remote was in a jacket pocket. Needless to say the wife wasn’t all that happy to get out of bed and run my foot pedal down to Prescott at 6 am. Now I have both in the boat, just in case.
She really doesn’t like getting up that early…

Let me rephrase that: This year I’m not taking my foot pedal out of the boat’s storage compartment.

You are right ritt…I don’t need a “wet hen” either!
