Opener and where will you be?

    Just thought I would start this post. I was wondering were everyone was heading on opener(Minnesota opener). Gut pile, Fish On! And I will be heading up to Mille Lacs on the east side just south of big point. Maybe those heading up there want to have a few beers sometime that weekend. Maybe if you post where your going you will meet others that are going to the same place you are.

    Yes, talk to Mike L about it. I’m not sure if we have room in our cabin our not. I don’t have anyone confirmed to fish with me, so I know of one open bed/bunk.

    We will be just south of Big Point near the pulblic access(east side). Staying at our uncle’s place. We go to Flag Ship for dinner and drinks too. Let me know if your up there maybe we can do a little gtg for lunch or somthing. We will be up till Monday afternoon. The guys I will be with have real jobs and need to get home monday night. Barebackjack there will be no sheep for 1000 miles so don’t ask.

    We will also be on Mille Lacs for opener. No midnight stuff but early morning eastside rockpile is in the plan.

    Yeah I emailed him.
    The Brat will probably be with me as well so it might just work easier to drive back and forth each day.

    So many of you gonna be on the east side pond rock pile, I’m going to Winnie/Cutfoot to fish the inlet.

    Jigs and minnows may break my line but eyes will never hurt me!

    Ditto to Putz’s post. Early morning East side rocks on Mille Lacs. In to shore for some Zss and yard work, and then back out for the night bite. I don’t fish too hard on opener because I have to get ready for 4 days on Cutfoot/Winni the next weekend.

    My family goes out of Hunter’s Point so maybe some of us could meet up there. I am 21 now, so it could be a late night at the resort.

    WITH ANY LUCK I SHOULD BE ON LAKE MINNEWAWA WITH ALL MY BROTHERS. BUT NOT AT MIDNIGHT BUT DARN EARLY IN THE MORNING. TRIP WILL BE SHORT AS MY BOY HAS PROM ON SUNDAY NIGHT AND I GUESS I HAVE TO BE THERE. I WILL BE MAKING BISKITS AND GRAVY ABOUT 9:30 A.M.WE ARE JUST THRU THE NARROWS ON SHESHEBEE POINT RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER FROM THE ABCESS.

    GUNDY-

    What kind of rig will you be in? I will be in my black /tan Crestliner, with a Optimax on the back and a Black Lab looking around. I should be there also early in the am. Let me know! My parents have the cabin across form the launch on the South end of the lake, with a big brown pole building. It is the cabin and launch right on the corner/bend in the road.

    Sounds good we should get an IDA channel going with all the guys That will be on the East Side. Any one will work.

    I am really pumped now. I thought I had to come home for a graduation on Sunday, but they forget to get me a ticket…oh shucks. Castaway, the brews might have to wait for Memorial. My Dad has big clean up plans for the opener. Pick a channel and I’ll be there.

    Memorial weekend I will be down in Dubuque fishing the Cabelas NTC but I will catch up with ya for a sometime at the pond.

    Cleaning on opener

    Doesnt matter to me what channel but I think Jon,Hooks and Bobber monitor the same channel and maybe they will chime in or we can just pick one.
